About the role

Your Opportunity

As a Junior Brand Manager, you will be accountable for delivering brand’s performance targets in Brazil for Whiskies portfolio driving value creation for the Company. You will be leading brand management activities and execution of Dewar’s and William Lawson’s brands by identifying consumer, shopper, and customer insights and executing marketing plans that will grow the brands and strategically set it up for future.

Responsibilities

With our consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Lead the development and execution of a robust category/brands plan to deliver maximum impact in-market and annual brands health, financial and sales targets.
  • Track and support delivery against brand performance targets, and ongoing review of competitor/trade/consumer insights to help sustain brand strategy.
  • You will manage an A&P budget for the brands guaranteeing the best balance between desire and transaction activities and accurate monthly control.
  • Contribute to the Brazil strategic planning process annually, establish brand growth strategies and develop the long-term business plan and goals for whiskies portfolio. 
  • Work with Consumers Insights, Digital and Finance to ensure measurement and evaluation of the performance of all Brand activities to optimize A&P spend. Proactively recommend change in direction as required.
Category & Brand Strategy and Activity Planning
  • Provide Brand and Category analysis and input into the definition of the Strategy and “Jobs To Be Done” under the overall co-ordination of the Customer Marketing team.
  • Provide guidance to Senior Marketing Manager on effective deployment of Brand A&P by activity & channel in-market.
  • Work closely with Customer Marketing team to localize Global Assets, programmes and activities into a local relevant brand plan.
Consumer, Shopper and Customer Understanding
  • Partner with Customer & Commercial teams to build deep understanding of the target consumer and shopper for the brands to tailor execution of Brand’s activities effectively.
  • Actively access and tracking of main KPIs for the brands to develop local consumer, shopper and customer learnings on triggers and barriers to brands growth.
Integrated Brand Communication
  • Leads in-market execution and implementation of all consumer-facing elements of the brand’s plan and provides brand input to Customer Marketing on all shopper-facing activity on the brand.
  • Leads localization of brand communications plan, including local planning & buying of media with agency partner.
Business Performance Management
  • Accountable for delivery of Brand’s performance targets in Country (revenue, profitability, share, equity).
  • Work with Insights and Finance to ensure measurement & evaluation (M&E) plan in place on all brand activities.
  • Rigorously manage brand A&P budget in order to minimize costs and optimize returns on investment.
  • Actively monitor Brand KPIs and provide guidance on corrective action to achieve agreed objectives.
  • Ensure that all brand assets developed in the Country adhere to Global Brand guidelines and local social responsibility policies and regulations and always follow the Bacardi Marketing Way best practice.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experiences needed to create your legacy
  • Preferred at least 5+ years relevant experience at Marketing and/or Trade Marketing areas, leading multiple campaigns/ projects across various marketing disciplines.
  • Experience multiple specialty areas: experiential, digital, innovation, PR, promotions, events, trade marketing, etc. 
  • Verbal/written skills at all levels in an organization; ability to generate meaningful presentations.
  • Comprehension, analytical horsepower and curiosity of industry data and how to translate data and insights into simple, actionable steps to grow the brand.
  • Preferred candidate has Degree and/or professional Marketing qualifications.
  • Previous experience in brand management within alcohol/sprits or CPG strongly preferred.
