About the role

Your Opportunity

This role is focused on financial leadership & support for the Operations team in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

About You 

You will provide analysis and decision support to the team focused on unlocking opportunities to further understand the business and drive improvement. Lead monthly cost reviews working capital performance results as well as coordinate the financial planning activities including strategic planning, budgeting and financial forecasting. Deeply understand and pro-actively challenge financial performance in LAC OC through analysis and derived insight.


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

Operation Projects
  • Develop business partnership with LAC OC teams to support operational projects including Innovation, Copackers Sourcing changes, Cost reduction projects, Route to Market, Sourcing, Warehousing, Distribution consolidation and Working Capital
  • Define Cost of Goods for innovation projects  
  • Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure accounting support for new projects, such as SAP readiness, master data setups and other activities as per project timelines.
  • Finance lead for Operations regional projects – challenge and support on targets and results:
    • Strategic: involved in footprint and sourcing projects evaluation, new copackers
    • Working capital: Evaluate, analyze and support implementation of working capital initiatives
    • Cost Reduction programs: challenges initiatives and financial benefits in projects (tenders, new providers, warehouses footprint, etc…)
    • Challenge status QUO in all Operations related processes.
Month End Management
  • Pro-actively follow-up on risks, mitigation plans and opportunities to optimize the P&L
  • Provide insight and challenge performance on variable & fixed costs to drive agility. 
  • Accountable to review primary/secondary freight costs working closely with Tradall and Global Transportation.
  • Challenge and collaborate with Operations leadership team to understand performance deviations and drive mitigation. 
  • Lead Operations Performance measurements and Financial forecasting process
  • Communicate conclusions & variation explanations on the monthly performance related to COGs, distribution costs, write-offs, volume & mix, working capital and financial landing forecast.  
  • Support consolidation of performance into global reports 
  • Ensure data integrity in all analysis and reporting including budget, monthly performance, provisions and benefits generated from initiatives.
  • Monthly review of working capital, close monitoring of slow-moving stocks and ensure adequacy of Inventory provisions as per policy. 
  • Prepare standard monthly reports on inventory, working capital & Month End Close for the LAC OC
Performance measurement, reporting & Compliance
  • Support Operations Financial Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning including below specific responsibilities: 
    • Highlight inefficiencies in manufacturing or supply chain processes and work closely with the team on cost saving / value engineering projects. 
    • Prepare operational analysis and insights to assist in Latest Estimate (LE) and Budget setting. 
    • Ensure entry / upload of correct data in Planning and Reporting tool (Cognos, TM1) 
    • Work closely with market finance team to ensure budget / LE submissions as per agreed calendar
    • Lead monthly performance review with the LAC OC Operations team
    • Continuous identification of opportunities to improve process 
    • Assistance in Statutory and Other Audits.
    • Compliance of SOX controls & financial policies with respect to Capex, Opex, procurement, physical verification of stocks across all warehouses and other Copacker process controls.

  • 8 years of experience in Business Operations Finance position with costing experience
  • Demonstrated success implementing strategic changes, agility in changing environment and flexibility
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Proactive contributor – shares knowledge and fosters an environment of collaboration & learning. 
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to promote cross functional effectiveness 
  • Advanced Excel skills, including model building
  • Advanced level of diligence and attention to detail 
  • Experience working with SAP and BI 
  • Motivated to develop skill set and advance within the business 
  • Culturally sensitive and strong communicator 
Personal  Qualities
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred. Or substantial relevant work experience
  • SAP knowledge
  • Fluent English / Spanish
  • Portuguese is an advantage
