About the role
Responsibilities
- Support to local Commercial/Sales teams (off trade, on trade and digital ecommerce), such as drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts and terms and conditions, adopting a risk-based approach which enables efficient solutions for tomorrow’s challenges and advances Bacardi’s commercial interests
- Support to local Marketing teams (including IP and innovation) to enable growth and development of disruptive campaigns, while mitigating legal and social responsibility risks associated with alcohol advertising
- Enhance Governance and Compliance across the markets including the maintenance of GDPR requirements
- Defend Bacardi against complaints and regulatory investigations
- Continually seek to expand your knowledge of Bacardi’s business and legal expertise
- Interact effectively with Legal and Company Secretarial colleagues, functional leaders and other clients to complete tasks accurately and efficiently and to enhance the reputation of the Legal function
Skills and Experience
- Batchelor’s Degree and LPC
- Significant level of post qualification experience in commercial law practice, either in a law firm and/or in FMCG industries.
- Proven track record in providing legal advice in areas including contracts, competition law, data protection and intellectual property law.
- Fluent English, and a second European language is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism, initiative, and flexibility to maintain the trust and confidence of the business community and to respond to changing workload demands
- Curious innovator: asking questions to gather the right insight to provide the best solutions
- Ability to navigate your way through complexity and enjoy working in ambiguity and with autonomy
- Strong bias for action and focus on results, seeing the business as if it is your own
