About the role

Implement and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing Supply & Distribution Support projects. You will serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. You will review status of projects and budgets. You will coordinate schedules and deliver status reports. You will assess project issues, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and KPIs satisfaction goals and objectives. You will develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, discussions, decision making and conflict resolution processes;
  • Reports on status, financials and issues / risks to program management and supports communication to steering committees.
  • Develop, or support development with relevant colleagues, the logistics strategy for the Brazil business. 
  • Pursue transportation alternative to reduce energy and emissions.
  • Co-ordinate the activities, processes, people and financial requirements in order to ensure that logistics activities are constantly aligned with the distribution strategy.
  • Accountable for setting up local logistics functions with smooth operational flow to meet the requirement of on-going development and implementation of an outstanding customer service performance.
  • Relevant budget and savings target responsibility and ownership. 
  • Identify advantages of Markets, Co-packers and any other stakeholder for achieving effective management of the supply chain (e.g. Use of Capacity at co-packers, joint delivery, ….)
  • Define and develop a high performing warehousing network and strategy in order to optimize costs and service provided.
  • Ensure standardized processes, instructions, rules, and necessary steps to integrate the 3Pls WMS information’s and our ERP system.
  • Identify third party suppliers (3PL or 4PL) according to defined transportation needs and regional guidelines to deliver on time, cost and quality the product to customers.  

Critical experiences for success

Minimum qualification required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a relevant SCM discipline preferred.  
  • Superior problem-solving & critical thinking skills to analyze situations, remove roadblocks, and drive results.
  • Task master with track record of completing projects on schedule.
  • Document, Manage and Communicate project risks with a focus on problem solving and risk mitigation. 
  • Ability to work with aggressive schedules and hold team members accountable to schedule & commitments.
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain & Logistics fundamentals.
  • General understanding of local business & transport regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of project management techniques and best practices.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and project management software.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial proactive spirit. 
  • Highly professional demeanor.
  • Fluent in Portuguese & English.
Desired qualification:
  • PMP certification desired.
  • Relevant experience in Logistics or Supply Chain area.
