About the role

What does a Logistics Engineering Manager do?

Responsible for the design and continuous improvement of standard operating produces of the Distribution Center. Drives changes and introduces new technologies to drive efficiencies and improve quality. 

About You 

Ideal candidate is a hands-on leader that enjoys taking a plan from start to finish, while working closely with the frontline operators. 

The incumbent is expected to take initiative, think, and act in the spirit of continuous improvement, and escalate concerns appropriately.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Responsible the planning, development, and implementation of standard operating procedures at the Distribution Center
  • Develop logistic metrics, internal analysis tools, and KPIs for distribution center staff
  • Analyze or interpret logistics data involving customer service, forecasting, procurement, inventory, transportation, and warehousing
  • Provide logistics technology for effective and efficient support of the distribution center
  • Service as team’s project manager for internal projects
  • Focuses on continuous improvements methodologies within the logistic network.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Analytical Software – Advanced Excel skills, Minitab, and or a statistical software experience
  • Database Skillset – Ability to create databases and perform analysis
  • Process Mapping and Design Software Experience - such as Visio
  • Knowledge of data analytics, warehouse management systems, and lean & 6-Sigma principles  
  • Project management experience
Personal Qualities
  • 100% Responsibility mindset
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • 10 years of experience in logistics and distribution
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or related area required
