About the role

WHAT DOES Logistics Supervisor do?

This position leads the entire logistics office operation in Jacksonville.
The role has 4 direct reports. Import & Export coordinator, Ryder transportation employees & Operator for project ocean.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading the Supply Chain and/or Planning & Logistics team in a FMCG type environment.
You have a demonstrable track record of successful delivery of stretching plans in challenging environments
This person is expected to think strategically and ensure continuous improvements are identified and implemented.


  • Order Management (releasing orders) Finished goods- picking, planning monitoring, transfers.
  • Managing Ryder Transportation, with all equipment for sales orders.  
  • SAP Management- Super User
  • Custom documentation/HMRC requirements
  • Responsible for the efficient & compliant function of logistics services (Project Ocean, Export & NAM Work with CSR on orders management 
  • Managed all purchased orders for department
  • Prepare all documentation related to Cargo Shipments from both facilities, including but not limited to; Master Bills, Certificates of Origin and Shipper Export Declaration (SED).
  • Maintain all export documentation and files.
  • Track and communicate fulfilment status and/or issues with internal Planner and Logistics Manager on warehouse stock levels to facilitate on time shipments of exports.
  • Prepare booking and procure appropriate equipment from applicable steamship lines.
  • Procure quality affidavits for countries requiring specialized documentation.
  • Communicate with overseas Customer Service Agents for required adjustments to orders, shipping delays, etc.
  • Communicate with management to effectively resolve inventory or order discrepancies that are outside of his/her control.

Skills and Experience

  • Possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Accurate data entry input abilities using SAP
  • Proficient Excel, Word and SAP
  • Ability to maintain accurate and efficient filing systems and logs.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Customs Form  (CF) 214, CF 215, CF 216, CF 7512, CF 3461, CF 7501 and CF 349Acumen including road knowledge of Production & Supply Chain
