About the role


YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As the Malt Whisky Brand Ambassador for London, you will be the leading expert on our Malt Whisky Brands and the Category in the market; one of the fastest growing categories in the home market for Whisky. You will become the face and voice for our Malts portfolio to the community, crafting and delivering the brand programming agreed in our marketing and advocacy strategy. You will embody and represent the brands image and values externally and internally with the opportunity to leave your legacy as our expert on Malt Whisky. Supporting the Commercial teams in selling in our brands to customers will be part of the role as well as collaborating closely with the Incubation Marketing Manager and the Advocacy Team in building industry leading programming that connects with key audiences in relevant sales channels. Your deep knowledge about the Category, the Brands and their heritage along with your ability to inspire and excite consumers, partners and primos about our drams is the key to success in this role.

Responsibilities


  • You will be the visible face for our Malts Portfolio in London and increase desire and recommendation by building & implementing Malts advocacy programs and assets. 

  • Whilst being the face of our Malt Whisky brands for consumer events and programmes, you will also provide education and training across our total Whisky Portfolio (Malts & Blended Whisky brands) within Prestige On Trade & Off Trade Whisky Specialist accounts.

  • You will develop relationships (virtual or face to face) with key stakeholders & partners in premium Off Trade (i.e. Whisky Specialists and Premium Retailers; in On Trade (i.e. bartenders and bar owners); and in Digital Commerce (i.e. Amazon, Pure Players) and influence the positioning of our Malt and Blended Whisky brands in these channels.

  • Develop a reputation & become well-known among the whisky community, by building relationships with relevant press, influencers, business partners and customers to drive attention to our brands.

  • Build and deploy Malts portfolio education, tastings, and workshops at scale (physical and digital solutions for consumers, customers and primos) and deliver occasion, engagement, and entertainment programs with clear KPIS.

  • As expert for the category, you will support the local Commercial and Brand teams in defining how we show up in the relevant outlets and channels with focus on increasing availability, visibility, and quality. 

  • This role is varied and will require interacting with the Sales teams, Brand teams and Advocacy teams.

Skills and Experience


SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
  • Extremely knowledgeable about Malt Whisky and total Whisky category

  • Working experience in premium on trade, luxury hotels and/or premium off trade

  • Wide network of strong industry relationships

  • Strong communication and influencing skills

  • Strong understanding of social media and how to use it effectively 

  • Experience of managing a budget & measuring success

  • Self -organisation

  • Proficiency in English language skills

  • Added bonus if you have experience in the Spirits and/or Beverage industry already
