About the role

Your Opportunity

As Employee Relations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the HR & Legal organizations on all employee relations, policies, and procedures.

You will need to manage and balance a matrix environment where different functions and teams could be competing for your time and attention. You will have strong credibility and knowledge in all aspects of HR and associated laws and policies.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Analyzes information and data necessary to assess disputes' underlying causes and policy disputes. This may include management proposals, pay scales and wages, benefits, working conditions, and other mitigating circumstances. Evaluates current tools and training programs to ensure consistent and timely application of performance management and progressive programs.
  • Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to conduct research related to policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing the information, makes recommendations on corrective action and/or changes.
  • Partners closely with the Legal team to research and communication laws and legal requirements concerning employment-related issues/disputes to managers, supervisors, and primos.
  • Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best primo relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and primo grievances. Develops further training as needed.
  • Collaborates with internal and external legal counsel and departments in the preparation for termination requests, severance eligibility, and potential litigation matters.
  • May participate in focus groups and/or think tanks to improve communications between management and primos.
  • Continuously evaluates programs and market trends to ensure best-in-class performance management.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning primo relations.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Thorough understanding of negotiation techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of dispute resolution and compensation administration.
  • Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations.
  • Ability to travel to various Bacardi locations as needed to resolve disputes and/or execute terminations.

Personal Qualities:

  • University Degree and 5+ years HR or Labor Relations experience, preferably with experience supporting large teams and senior HR and business leaders; Strong understanding of US Labor Laws.
