YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As Bacardi continues to transform through the development of a fully interdependent matrix across brands and regions, and truly transforming the way we operate as business partners in finance, this role is a critical position to drive positive change, a value hunter mindset and embed efficiencies in ways of working across Brand Marketing team.

In this role, it is important to develop financial and investment strategies for the Brands, aligned to category, cluster and regional participation guidance to accelerate growth. Focus will be on placing bold bets behind our brands and innovation, driving value.

The incumbent is a team player and a strong and proactive Business Partner in strategic and operating decisions together with the regional team.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE:

Drive our Best 10 strategies across the brands though driving performance across the portfolio

  • Outstanding and proactive financial leadership through being a fully integrated team player and business partner
  • Help to shape the strategic plan of the brands in the region. Ensure financial plans and investments are behind the key strategic choices of the cluster & region. Provide financial support for IAP and planning process
  • Drive a performance culture across marketing, enable self-service flash reports/brand dashboards across all P&L lines for the brands. Deep dive into shares, mix and A&P efficiencies to create actionable insights to drive value
  • Create scenario models in an agile world that ensures a good level of preparedness to address changes ahead
  • Work on growth plans, build strong business cases for regional projects and new innovations
  • External focus / competitive benchmarking: develop strong understanding of external market dynamics and design appropriate reporting to ensure we are tracking against key aim of “winning externally” especially for our big bet BMCs.
  • Ad-hoc analysis for Region Marketing teams to support strategic initiatives and regional priorities
  • Assist in developing business cases for innovation to achieve approval across the matrix.
  • Partners with New Business Development team to set KPI’s for Innovation, reporting and financial analysis.
  • Drive a post innovation culture to continue to learn from what worked / what did not work.
  • Work with Consumer and Customer Marketing to consistently analyze marketing effectiveness and efficiency, driving an ROI culture across the region via zero based budgeting and M&E
  • Support Best10 initiatives in the domain of marketing spends and create a tracking mechanism.
  • Partner with Consumer and Customer Marketing to set framework for A&P governance including process for budget reallocations between brands, markets and clusters in an agile world to tap into constantly emerging risks or opportunities
  • Work with performance management on marketing spend to enable easy and actionable A&P control via self-service
  • Lead MDS networks to drive efficiencies in process, simplification, sharing and reapplying of best practice
  • Change agility, seeing change as an opportunity to improve complexities of current business processes. Be a positive change agent that is challenging the status quo
The person will be additionally responsible for:
  • Taking care of audit of statutory books for accounts and co-ordinate with the internal and external stakeholders for the same
  • Taking care of various audits viz. Internal, ICFR, SOX and co-ordinate across functions within India, auditors and Global/Regional teams for the same
  • Single point of contact for Balance Sheet Review (BBSR) including Cash Flow, Fixed Assets and Capex reviews
  • Responsible for implementation of general policies, processes, and guidelines with respect to India business

Skills and Experience

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

  • Chartered Accountant with 5 years plus of relevant experience
  • Proven outstanding, proactive financial leadership through being a fully integrated team player and business partner
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions. Strong networker as in the region there are multiple stakeholders across the region
  • Great command over Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint tools.
  • Deep understanding of various levers of efficiency and tools that can enable M&E
  • Superior analytical skills, able to take complex ideas and summaries into concise insights and recommendations
  • Able to link financial analysis with business strategy and then make compelling business recommendations
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; work across the organization with key stakeholders including senior management in order to influence and inform decision making
  • Self-starter that thrives in a dynamic environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Highly organized, motivated, a sense of urgency. Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results, dealing with multiple stakeholders in a complex and agile environment
  • Track record of driving change, delivering process simplification and improved ways of working.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, proactive problem-solving skills
  • Process focused with an understanding of end to end business processes and their financial impacts
