About the role

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As a Market Manager, you will guide your market to deliver sales goals and objectives within territory and key customer accounts with excellence. You will gain exposure to different elements of the sales and marketing organization to develop and execute customer strategies and business plans. You will also maintain an account list of top influential accounts in your market and deliver KPI goals. You will report to the State Manager and be based in Chicago, IL. 

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
• Collaborate cross-functionally utilizing Bacardi resources and distributor partnerships to achieve maximize performance and sales efforts by achieving increased volumes while building long lasting business opportunities in your market and account universe
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key customer accounts to define customer plans (removed “& Strategies” -Felt repetitive) that translate into “win/win” scenarios through impactful presentations and evaluating return on investments
• Manage your budget effectively and efficiently by applying thoughtful financial decisions to increase profitability and demonstrating strong financial acumen with an understanding of retail finances, pricing, and logistics
• Provide market and competitive brand updates to the commercial team to include timely and accurate communication of changing field conditions that may affect volumes as well as staffing changes at distributors and competitors
• Engage with Regional Director and Human Resources to hire and develop successful primos through engaging Let’s Talk discussions on specific primo performance feedback evaluating against sales forecasts and KPI goals and provide guidance in achieving career goals
• Collaboration and Coordination with Distributor, BAM - Direct reports and ALL On-Premise primos within the market.
• Survey market to ensure distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs and more are executed to standard
• Responsible for reviewing overall market performance including Rate of Sale drivers, activations, executions



Skills and Experience

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or related years of experience
• 3+ years of sales experiences preferably in the spirits or beverage industry and 2+ years of on/off premise experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of the on and off premise business and the critical business factors that drive and impact customer’s business decisions.
• By living a Founder’s mentality, you are a leader and owner of your market passionate about driving business results.
• You are influential communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives, Bacardi primos, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of an organization.
• You are computer proficient working in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and can use advanced computer functions, including navigating the Internet.
• Ability to travel up to 25%
