About the role
Responsibilities
- Craft innovative strategies to drive continued growth in ANZ, one of the global lighthouse markets.
- Coach, inspire and lead a team of people to develop cutting-edge campaigns that push the boundaries, inspire change and impact consumer behaviour
- Guide Integrated Activity Planning in ANZ and lead the allocation of brand investment
- Utilise local insights to develop a sustainable innovation pipeline from inception through to execution
- Confirm the local “Codes for Growth” of your brands, defining strategic priorities, pricing strategy and methods for measuring and evaluating A&P spend effectiveness
- Drive collaboration across the matrix and globally to execute with brilliance at a local level
- Own Brand P&L (shared with your Country Leadership Team)
- Lead both brand marketing, customer marketing and advocacy teams to develop local plans which are anchored in global strategies but executed to ensure a good fit with local markets.
- As part of the local Executive team possess not only marketing acumen but overall business understanding and strategic thinking that can build the business for continued growth into the future and work collaboratively with the Executive peer group
Skills and Experience
- 15+ years of broad marketing experience in consumer goods and or spirits. Understanding of ANZ market place
- Marketing leadership within a matrix organisation, managing multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
- Digitally savvy with the capacity to connect people and systems in the delivery of results
- Great commercial acumen and the ability to translate great brand strategies into a tangible commercial advantage with a strong understanding of: Channel, price, promotional activity and through-the-line activation
- Strong business acumen, and relevant executive leadership team member experience is desired
- Proven experience in developing advertising campaigns and consumer programs built upon local consumer insights
- Previous experience in leading teams in all aspects of marketing and ability to develop and grow talent for the future
- Ability to acquire, manage and build agency relationships to further enhance the internal team’s efforts
- Globally minded and possessing a curious, creative and innovative mindset
- Great communication skills and gravitas with the ability to present credibly to local and global stakeholders

- Someone who can create a strong positive first impression and easily form great relationships with new customers, consumers and stakeholders
- Resilience and mental strength to deal with ambiguity and keep their team inspired and motivated
- Strong courage, negotiation skills and reasoning
- Strong, inspiring people leader with drive to continuously improve and develop capabilities within the organization
- Experience managing and influencing not only direct reports but matrix organization (i.e., peer leaders)
