About the role

Your Opportunity

The Direct Procurement Lead of the OC will lead the effort of implementing and managing the OC purchasing strategy for Packaging and Raw Materials in alignment with the Global Procurement Strategy and in alignment with key OC stakeholders.

S/He will be the to the local execution of the Supplier Integration Program (SIP) with main suppliers of the OC. S/He will be developing and action plan to achieve global targets for the main pillars of the global procurement strategy
  • securing supply sustainably at Benchmark Cost
  • delivering Value beyond cost
  • owner of Procurement budget for the OC
  • in charge of the compliance to the Global Procurement Policy locally.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

Strategy Implementation:
  • Provide input and feedback to Global Category Managers on sourcing strategy execution based on OC’s needs
  • Define and implement sourcing strategy for plants specific Raw materials such as Whites Table wines, prosecco DOC, Asti Must, Asti grapes, EU sugar and botanicals, and in alignment with Global Direct Procurement Senior Director for Raw Materials
  • Execute action plans for the plants in line with sourcing strategy & Ensure all sourcing projects are responding to the 3 strategic pillars.
Supplier Integration Program:
  • Own SIP execution for the OC & Own local plants specific supplier relationships 
  • Facilitate SPM to track supplier performance and feedback to category manager for consolidation
  • Ensure that a supplier portfolio is developed considering business needs with regards to plants constraints, innovation, contingency, supply chain agility and sustainability
  • Ensures preferred customer status with regards to pricing, supply chain 
Sourcing and development support:
  • Ensure Procurement recommendations for all OC projects (Sourcing change, contracts extension, etc.)
  • Support NPD for packaging related projects & Deliver projects on time and in budget
  • Proactively identify capabilities and identifies suitable suppliers in line with the policy and global strategy
  • First level escalation in case of materials supply difficulties
Continuous improvement & Sustainability:
  • Drives healthy VE pipeline and delivers VE targets for OC
  • Contribute to optimize costs and services to generate economy of scale where possible
  • Create strong internal relationship with internal stakeholders: SC, QA, NPD…
  • Leads and contribute to the identification of sustainability initiatives for material supply and contributes to company’s goals (plastic elimination, CO2 reductions)
  • Ensures Sedex compliance of the supply base according to global targets.
Administration and reporting:
  • Develops and owns procurement budget for the OC
  • Ensures accurate pricing maintenance in SAP & Ensure local contracts are dully signed and stored centrally 
  • Educate local colleagues on supplier’s industry constraints and work to define relevant operating models to minimize proactively disruptions
  • Maintains Provalido appropriately reflects of savings, cost avoidance and cash improvement projects.
People:
  • Develops the local procurement team and build strong succession
  • Contributes to the global procurement team maturity 

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy

Education
  • Specialization in purchasing and/or procurement qualification – CIPS, etc.)
  • Master’s in business / Economy or Engineering (specialization in purchasing is an asset) or any equivalent degree
Experience: 
  • Minimum 10 years+ in a Procurement position of which minimum 6y in Direct Procurement desired but other background with strong interest to learn Procurement will be considered
  • FMCG background is a plus but no must.
Languages: 
  • Fluent English: other languages such as Italian are an asset
Functional Skills: 
  • Digital procurement experience in ESG, e-auctions
  • Solid understanding of procurement functions
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Design and Planning (Maintain and develop process, anticipate consequences, build plans)
  • Understanding of procurement budgeting
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Understanding of project management and contribution of Procurement
  • Supply/ demand, forecasting understanding -multi-echelon supply planning and synchronization experience/understanding.
Technical Skills: 
  • MS Office advanced (especially Excel)
  • SAP, BI
