About the role

As a market demand & supply planner, you will be a key contributor to the S&OP process.  You will lead the trend and inventory analysis as inputs to the process as well as validate and ensure total accuracy of customer trade inventory.  You will be responsible to translate the final consensus volumes into a SKU level phased demand plan. You will have a deep understanding of the innovation process and expertly reflect this demand in the system considering cannibalization, pipeline building, phase in / phase out among others. You will ensure a pristine planning environment in SAP guaranteeing the best possible signal to our supply network. You will be responsible for ensuring market safety stock optimization and demand driven replenishment to achieve the sales plan.

  • Support the cross functional team of Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance to achieve consensus each month in the S&OP process.

  • Engage with all stakeholders to use the correct assumptions in scenarios and trend analysis to improve the detailed SKU level demand plan.

  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to supporting the S&OP / Forecast (historical sales, trends, open orders, seasonality, promotions, trade inventory). 

  • Manage the Demand and Supply Planning processes to ensure plans are established, monitored, and reviewed to drive efficient and timely distribution of products in the market. 

  • Build visibility between financial target and volume sales plan and support the financial team in the financial cycle. 

  • Drive value - ensure the planning process is balanced, dynamic and serves the business. 

  • Resolve short/medium term supply constraints (ex. quality, technical…) to meet the consensus sales plan.

  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have a single clear answer.

  • Deep involvement in the Innovation process to ensure accurate market planning, reduced supply chain complexity and increased reliability and agility. 

  • Implement and maintain the process to prevent and monitor write-offs including action plans for reduction and control improvement.

  • Implement and maintain the process to prevent, control and mitigate risks on slow / no moving inventory. 

  • Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method, and approach to make a step change on forecast accuracy – focused on the main IPCs in the business.  

  • Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems. 

  • Mature the forecasting process with improved inputs, assumptions, and tools.  

  • Drive maturity in trade inventory management – refine trade inventory targets at customer brand size level.  

  • Align on timing for promotion activities and projects.

  • Participate in the monthly LAC OC Supply Review to review supply risks & opportunities to consider in S&OP and to drive improvement.

  • Develop best practice sharing within the region and global planning community. 

  • Proactively drive a lean profitable portfolio with regular portfolio rationalization reviews

  • Communicate effectively – sharing technical data in simple executive format.

  • Understands how and when to escalate risks and provide possible mitigations.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong Customer Focus

  • Demonstrated expertise in demand Planning in FMCG environment (high tech/ pharma supplemental)

  • Proven track record in forecast accuracy
  • Demonstrated SAP expertise in APO / IBP. (Other like systems considered)

  • Demonstrated technical acumen in Business Intelligence/ Power BI etc. 

  • Highly organized, systems driven ways of work.  

  • Strong team player/ Driver of change/ continuous improvement 

  • Commercially savvy / Financially fluent

  • Results oriented, Bias for action and Determination to succeed.

  • English - Business fluency / Spanish 

  • Bachelor’s degree Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance etc.
