About the role

WHAT DOES A NAM CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE MANAGER DO?
Primarily responsible for providing compliance, operational guidance, training, and support to Bacardi NAM locations on import and export matters.

Lead and support NAM customs and trade compliance projects and will be the primary contact for import and export operational questions and international customs and trade matters.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES
WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
  • Lead, execute, and maintain compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations related to Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program; ensuring minimum security practices are implemented, enforced, and ensure annual validation process. 
  • Drive the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) bi-annual registration and compliance process for all Domestic and Foreign Facilities that provide finished goods to Bacardi USA for distribution.
  • Leads the SOX Compliance process to ensure that cross border operations meet federal guidelines and adhere to import and export regulations for NAM region.
  • Drives the Craft Beverage Modernization Tax Reform Act (CBMA) annual process for Bacardi, its Suppliers and Distributors, ensuring benefits are maximized.
  • Creating and implementing internal policies to ensure a company-wide compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements, custom regulations, and trade laws.
  • Ability to use Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), use of proper valuation methods, documenting product classifications, and understanding free trade agreement qualifications.
