About the role

YOUR CHALLENGE
  • You will be an integral part of the Tesco Team, managing the JBP for up to 5 BWS sub-categories (Liqueurs, RTDs, Gifting, Wine & No/Low).
  • Full P&L ownership, managing all variables to deliver the plan (commercial, marketing, supply chain, Dunnhumby etc…).
  • Lead & activate our strategy through building sustainable customer partnerships.
  • Excite the consumer – executing our brands and bringing our innovations to life.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
  • Deliver the JBP – price, promotion, distribution, feature, NPD and brand content, to have a best-in-class execution plan.
  • Look beyond the outline trading plan and pursue new opportunities / ways of working to strengthen both the relationship and performance within Tesco Group.
  • Partner closely and build alignment with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, Brand, Finance, Supply chain, Dunnhumby and other teams where appropriate 
  • Develop and nurture core internal and external relationships required to deliver the plan, including S&OP forecasting.
  • Activate our brands within Tesco to excite the consumers.
  • Manage and deliver regular clear updates to key business processes e.g. monthly performance review, annual Bottom Up Plan creation, etc…
  • Complete pre and post evaluation of promotions & activities.
  • Build the team’s overall capability in collaboration with the wider channel, through a mixture of training, coaching, best practice and knowledge sharing.

  • Ability to form strong relationships, negotiate and influence best-in-class plans.
  • Manage key stakeholders across the business at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, presentation and communication skills.
  • Must be able to think creatively and develop strong activation plans that will drive rate of sale and distribution of our brands across Tesco’s multi-channel business – Retail, Convenience & Online.
  • Be competent in using Powerpoint, Excel and forecasting/data tools.
