About the role

The role is part of Bacardi’s On Premise team based in Toronto and is responsible for managing all aspects of on-premise activations and initiatives within designated On Premise accounts in the GTA. This position will have close interaction with the Customer Marketing team, third party distributor reps, and agencies. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, who can communicate and manage relationships between multiple departments and teams. 

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada due to Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) guidelines. 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Build relationships with distributors and key customers by having open and candid dialogue, while using negotiation skills to make strategic decisions for the business.
  • In conjunction with local distributor territory manager, manage the on premise activations in venue features and promotions within the assigned account list.
  • Joint planning with third party distributor team with all event sponsorships, negotiations, logistics, and activations within region
  • Work closely with Bacardi Canada On Premise Customer Marketing Manager and third-party experiential agencies to prepare for events by determining purpose, identifying and organizing assets, as well as labour and logistics required for execution. 
  • Manage activation budget, executional activity in the region with tools to measure and track accountability; including spend, results, product, and asset inventory
  • Ensure the Bacardi portfolio remains top of mind, up to date and relevant to TM’s and Field Teams at all supported on premise accounts.
  • Maintain consistent Bacardi Portfolio branding across various events and programs.
  • Prepare post event reports, deploy customer satisfaction surveys, and review impact and ROI.
  • Understanding the dynamics of the On Premise landscape, providing insight and direction to develop marketing solutions to promote and build the brands within the territory
  • Leverage insight and data analysis to create impactful, fact-based programming and activation.  
  • Working closely with the Director of On Premise Sales and On Premise Customer Marketing Manager to establish and implement successful marketing programs, activations and materials to profitably increase market share for the Bacardi portfolio
  • Keep abreast and report on products, category, innovation, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
  • Identify opportunities to improve consumer experience both in venue and in market and strategically deploy a tactical strategy to address.

  • Maintain and grow a productive working partnership with National Distributor on premise

Critical experiences for success

  • Knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry and/or Sales experience with rules and regulations of the industry considered an asset
