About the role

The Channel Manager is responsible for managing on trade customers (bars, pubs, restaurants) and supervising the on trade sales team across the whole of Thailand, 
He or she will manage and coach the team, control the spending budget and develop the plan and strategy to achieve the sell-out target.

This will include visiting customers around the country and executing the trade marketing and customer marketing program through the targeted on trade outlets.  

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • To achieve company sell out target
  • Supervise and coach sales team to drive On-Trade business
  • Ensure sale team collect the sell-out data from on-trade customers and verify with wholesaler
  • Work closely with the trade marketing team to execute the trade marketing campaign and brand activations.

Critical experiences for success

  • Sales experience within the on-trade channel (bars, pubs, restaurants), preferably from the drinks industry or similar
  • At least 5 years experience of managing a team
  • Education - MBA or equivalent, majoring in Marketing/Business is preferable
  • Fluent Thai is required and Good English (speaking and writing) is preferable
  • Knowledge & Skills:

    • Strong Planning skills are crucial

Job Impact:
  • This position is the service and brand building position.  So he or she needs to love to service customer, to achieve the company’s objectives.
  • Depletion sale volume will be impacted if he or she cannot deliver the on ground activities.
  • This position needs to manage the pressure and drive his or her subordinates to achieve the targets.  He or she needs to be able to lead the team under the dynamic situation.  Time management skill is a key skill for this position also because there will be a lot of activities at the same time with different outlet types.
