About the role

What does a Packaging Specification Coordinator do?

The Whisky and Gin category, with emblematic brands such as DEWAR’S®, Aberfeldy and BOMBAY SAPPHIRE®, is one of the most dynamic and innovative portfolios for Bacardi. It is also a very competitive market with strong Packaging innovation.

The Packaging Specification Coordinator will be supporting key technical packaging projects for our brands and also supporting key business critical projects such as Business Continuity (BCP), Value Creation and Sustainability.

About You

The ideal candidate will need to know how to operate in an agile and changing environment, working very closely with his/her internal and external partners whilst maintaining operational discipline. This person will be expected to be a good communicator and have the ability to build close connections with our suppliers. This person will need to embrace execution with excellence culture and will be expected to have to have strong ownership skills.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:

To clear the back log of open specifications and finally route for approval
Analyze current specification system data to identify specs that are not required or can be archived
To effectively communicate with our suppliers to receive all data points, documents and drawings required to build a best in class specification
To be willing to learn about all packaging components used at the UKOC, and to ensure the correct specification documents are on hand for approval
To collaborate closely with QA, manufacturing and engineering Primos to ensure specifications are right first time for approval
Work as a team to ensure successful data migration from current specification system to the new system currently in development

Skills and Experience

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging or related field such as mechanical engineering, material science, etc.

Functional skills:

Basic understanding of various packaging materials
Basic project management skills
Be able to track and present data in a clear and concise manner

Capability to work in a seamless team, cross-functionally and across regions
Overall good collaborator
Lives the 3 F’s – Fearless, Founder’s Mentality, Family
