About the role

Your Opportunity

As the Production and Maintenance Facilitator for Cataño, PR you play an important role and you will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and supervisory work in areas of the Distillery that includes: Fermentation, Distillery, Treatment Plant and Molasses Terminal, following the requirements and standards established by the Distillers Manual, the global and local policies and regulations that apply.  You will be working on continuous improvement projects in coordination with Facilitators.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Coordinate and supervise daily jobs, determine staffing needs, assign jobs to meet production needs.
  • Prepare daily reports of the situations that occurred during the shift, including performance calculations, efficiencies, decisions made and other metrics (example Safety Trigger, KPI’s CL, CIL).
  • Review the parameters and operational data collected by the operators and make the necessary adjustments to correct any deviations.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the tasks described in the documented procedures and work instructions applicable to their duties.
  • Maintain inventory of acid, caustic, honey, and any other industrial material.
  • Coordinate with the service departments the maintenance work and any other work that may arise using the identified systems (example WO, SAP)
  • Develop and implement improvement projects using Lean and continuous improvement tools.
  • Prepare attendance reports and keep records of hours worked. Authorize overtime work and administer discipline.
  • Identify operational training needs (SOPs) and coordinate them.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards in operational processes.
  • Comply with and ensure compliance with the rules and procedures of Environmental, Health, Safety, Management and Policies established by the company.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • You must have one to two years of experience in manufacturing process supervision.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • You should have knowledge in Management Systems, ISO9001 and System Controls.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, work weekends and holidays..
  • You must have excellent effective use of the Internet and email.  Knowledge of systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and DOT.
  • You will have exceptional analytical and solutions of problems, organizational, planning execution skills to optimize and drive efficiency in the end-to-end production with goal orientation in mind.
  • You have experience negotiating and engagement with clients seeking compromise collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fearlessly perseveres in overcoming obstacles and setbacks by taking swift and efficient action and share best practices.
  • You can multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment with the sense of urgency
  • You are a team leader capable of inspiring and driving productivity whilst building primo capabilities and growing successful teams.
  • You are influential, persuasive, and excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and listening skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives, Bacardi Primos, vendors, and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of an organization.
  • You have fluent command of Spanish; English fluency is a plus!
