About the role

Your Opportunity

Responsibility for key aspects of business projects (Production and Brand Home related) at Louisville Distilling Company. Responsible for project management during implementation of construction, process controls, equipment and system commissioning.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Knowledge and application of engineering standards and good practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management.
  • Understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational startup processes.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team and business stakeholders to manage project scope, timeline, and budget. Ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Coordinates with cross functional team members to create test plans, start-up plans, and success criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross functional colleagues on best practice application developing a culture of high performance and process optimization.
  • Ability to lead an internal and external team to deliver on commitments.
  • Ability to manage plant and 3rd party relationships in complex situations.
  • Interface with vendors and contractors ensuring specifications and requirements are incorporated from preliminary design through execution of projects.
  • Create, set specifications, develop, implement, and perform risk assessments of manufacturing equipment and process standards that drive continuous improvement
  • Communicates plans and other agreements to stakeholders for alignment while listening to feedback and making modifications if appropriate.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable Safety, Quality and regulatory considerations and Bacardi’s SQS Codes of Practice.
  • Develop and implement construction safety plans.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy:

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or equivalent)
Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 2+ years in a manufacturing environment and/or project management role
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvements and project management
Necessary Skills:
  • Must possess and exhibit strong ability to work cohesively with others to accomplish project objectives
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess strong influencing skills
  • Excellent decision making and independent judgement skills
  • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task
  • Must possess strong facilitation, conflict management, and negotiating skills
  • Self-motivated and possess ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Exhibit flexible approach and willingness to work off shifts and weekends to accomplish goals
  • Proficient personal computer and software skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to function as a team member, leader and business partner with a strong commitment to team concept

  • Knowledge on construction safety

  • General office equipment, supplies, personal computer, computer software, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SAP, reference materials regarding project management, engineering standards, and safety, health, and environmental issues
Environmental Conditions:
  • Work is performed in temperature-controlled environment and in a production facility where dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, and vibration exist; and in outdoors (construction) environment where seasonal elements and weather elements can exist
