About the role

Your Opportunity

This Commercial Finance role focuses on analysis, insights and recommendations for revenue growth management, providing analytical support predominantly to the National Account Sales Team to drive performance, but also the Independents Channel Sales Team (Off & On premise).  

The role will provide support to the Commercial Finance Manager across numerous areas of the business including holistic trade investment management, pricing strategy, promotional optimization and business review. A drive for continuous improvement through measurement & evaluation, assessing ROI and insights into action will ensure proactive foresight that unlock strategic value. The role will also support with month end management of trade investment, budget planning and forecasting, and pricing decision support.

About You 

The candidate is expected to provide analysis and commercial partnering to the Sales team in understanding ways to drive the business forward. The candidate is also expected to work closely with internal stakeholders across the sales team to understand their needs and provide relevant support. The candidate must possess strong communication and collaboration skills to proactively business partner the sales team and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally. Advanced MS Excel and system tools skills required and SAP & Power BI experience highly rated. 


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

Trade Investment Management
  • Support the sales team in driving efficiencies in their spend and optimizing effective trade investment and promotional programs/strategies
  • Provide insights and accurate reporting of trade investment monthly and at year end
Revenue Strategy, Pricing, and Analysis
  • Management and ownership of the accuracy and timeliness of the Pricing system
  • Support the Commercial Finance Manager with the semi-annual CPI process
  • Support with the pricing strategy reviews of the portfolio, balancing share and profit KPIs
  • In depth analysis (pre & post M&E) surrounding BMA and competitor with insight, foresight and recommendations to realize RGM
Performance measurement & reporting
  • Support sales business partners with budgeting, forecasting and planning, with the following specific responsibilities: 
  • Prepare critical information and templates to assist in the development and submission of forecasts
  • Prepare pricing and promotion analysis and insights to drive S&OP, forecast and realize price setting 
  • Support development of final outcomes at end of each forecast and budget cycle 
  • Continuous identification of opportunities to improve processes
Sales Pricing Support
  • Partner sales team and act as a first point of contact to sales team for all pricing & performance support. 
  • Provide value added analysis to track and optimize performance, proactive competitor analysis and drive to fulfil business objectives
  • Identifying opportunities to take & realize price, optimize margin / terms outcomes and deliver commercials in line with pricing strategy
  • To take responsibility for the global and customer in-month, month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting process
  • Support sales team with Bacardi business processes ensuring they have the information they need to deliver their targets
  • Partner sales to achieve business objectives, maximize return on investment & deliver sustainable RGM
Primos / Advocacy
  • Play an active role in the finance team by proactively sharing knowledge across the team and making a positive contribution.
  • Be a brand and customer advocate, so actively present in the on and off trade and supporting customers and venues.
Finance Initiatives – “Funding the Best 10”
  • Identify and lead strategic business value creation initiatives in collaboration with wider finance team.
  • Ensure adequate governance for management & approval limits relating to trade spend
  • Complete analysis and tiering to ensure pricing and terms are defendable across channels / customers
  • Business partner the sales team with accruals management for trade spend
  • Mitigate business risk with astute management of the balance sheet; support the local claims analyst to mitigate risk to the business
  • Champion and promote strong governance culture across the sales team and wider business.
  • Lead communication, training and capability sessions to key sale stakeholders on Bacardi policies, processes and procedures 

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • A proven track record of strong business partnering & providing reputable pricing support 
  • Relevant commercial finance experience is essential, preferably 3+ years in FMCG commercial environment. 
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • High commercial acumen, numerical and analytical skills. High attention to detail and methodical in nature
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced level of diligence and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills, including model building. Experience working with SAP and BI desirable
  • Educated to degree level, with strong results. CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or working towards
  • Confident giving presentations in front of senior groups internally and externally.
