About the role

Bacardi Business Service is looking for high performing individuals who are success driven and interested in a career at Bacardi. The technician performs transactional level tasks such as calculation, entry, review and posting of several accounting transactions. The position also is responsible of generating reports and performing reconciliations of different type of balance sheet accounts, analyzing the items aging and the
reason of not reconciled items.

You will gain experience managing Intercompany processes while also gaining exposure to Finance
Accounting & Period End Close. This role provides support and training needed to develop a well-rounded
accounting and finance skillset, which will be the foundation for advancing your career Bacardi.
BBS is a global business operation supported by the Bacardi executive and senior leaders throughout the
organization.

Reporting to the Intercompany Team Lead, as well the technician will support the Finance Organization
and Operations team being responsible for invoicing processes for a group of legal entities, enabling the
accurate and timely submission of financial information every period, customer service, through creation
and review of accruals, GRIR controls, performing and reviewing reconciliation of several balance sheet
accounts, period end close support, invoicing analysis, troubleshooting and any other Intercompany
support.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Perform tasks related to the Intercompany team within the Bacardi Global Services Center, which serves over 84 legal entities and Corporate Headquarters operations
  • Participate in the execution of the following tasks: purposes only. Subject to any applicable information and consultation requirements, and Brand-Owner approval framework.
  • Close calendar development/maintenance.
  • ICO balance sheet and P&L accounts reconciliation.
  • Netting/Settlement process between Bacardi entities.
  • Entry, review and posting of accounting journal entries.
  • Payment proposals: F110 creation, review and release process. Manual cash application postings.
  • Weekly ICO payments.
  • Fix intercompany variances analysis
  • Financial data reporting
  • Intercompany Reclassifications
  • Intercompany Billing
  • Development and issuance of financial reports.
  • GRIR accrual calculation, posting and analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with internal Bacardi clients as necessary to ensure that work is properly delivered.
  • Influence the markets to follow the correct procedures and policies.
  • Consistently propose, meet or exceed Service Level Agreements pertaining to accounting processes.
  • Provide support on Audit request

Measures of success

  • Month end close executed on time.
  • Quantity of red accounts.
  • Aging of red accounts and value at risk.
  • Escalations.
  • Number of post close entries.
  • Number of ICO variances over 100KUSD.
  • Number of ICO variances over 250KUSD.
  • Monthly non-trade ICO recharges.
  • SLA compliance over tickets.
  • Audit requests delivered on time and with quality.
  • Projects excellence and delivered on time.

Critical experiences for success

To be successful in this role you will have / be:
  • Previous experience in Accounting, using SAP platform.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage his/her time efficiently.
  • Ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing company practices and mindsets.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to capture information in a clear, concise manner and can adapt information for various audiences.

The following experiences are preferred:
  • Experience in the Spirits and/or FMCG industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of Bacardi Business Partner/Shared Services/Centre of Expertise.
  • Experience in Shared Services environment preferred.
  • Foreign language skills: English 70% written and oral skills.

Relevant education:
  • Technical, Bachelor’s degree or advance studies in Accounting/Business/Finance or related discipline.
  • Ability to communicate in English. Intermediate writing and speaking is required.
