About the role

Contribute in building of procurement policy and process, sourcing strategies for different categories in order to maximize the quality and value that Bacardi procurement is delivering to our businesses.
Ensure efficient implementation of the category and sourcing strategies in the end markets within the Region in close collaboration with Global Procurement team and Regional business partners.
Contribute to the development of global category / sourcing strategies by providing insights on specific Regional requirements;
Proactive stakeholder management and engagement acting as first line escalation support in the Region
Manage regional and local negotiations of allocated spends and suppliers
Delivery of KPI’s and targets with allocated spends and suppliers
Manage the Regional procurement team to build high performing team. Creation of strong development plans for procurement buyers is part of the role key activity. 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Support development of the regional procurement strategy and plan and support the Global Procurement in the development of global strategy. 
  • To ensure global policies, standards, platforms are implemented.
  • Contribute to Global category strategies by ensuring regional demand data, customer strategic requirements, regional market insigts are captured and conveyed to respective categories
  • Work with Global categoriest to identify and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Land global sourcing initiatives within Region and lead implementation of regional initiatives. 
  • Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies in an efficient and effective way in line with global category strategies and based on company standarts and policies.
  • Support regional and local biddings / tenders and supplier negotiations according to the company policies.
  • Delivery of the regional procurement  KPI’s including savings targets and support delivery of global targets.
  • Ongoing contract and supplier management (supplier reviews, KPI’s, adherence to contract etc)
  • Ensure regional and local sustainable supply solutions including contingency, responsible sourcing and supplier performance management.
  • To ensure sourcing process complies with the agreed policies, standards and platforms
  • To maintain strong relationships with regional and local business stakeholders to ensure accurate requirements captured and to promote a positive view of procurement. . Make sure the procurement vision fits to the overall business vision and strategic plans
  • Liaise with the functional leaders to provide visibility on strategies, activities and results.
  • To drive a professional and high performing regional procurement team, ensuring the team receive the appropriate training and development needed to deliver the business goals.
  • To ensure all members of the team have development and performance plans in place and that let’s talk  discussions occur
  • Identify and coach people with potential to grow and to provide input into the procurement talent pipeline
  • Undertake and own regional / local market research and analysis
  • Be the first line of escalation for supplier issues
  • Conatract and SLA management of supply base

Measures of success

As agreed with line manager, such as:
Savings Target Delivery: regular review actuals vs. target
Delivery of customer service level expectations (supply, quality, innovation, risk management).
Supplier Management KPIs : 
P2P KPIs : Quarterly review
Procurement compliance: Quarterly review
Management of the regional budget to the agreed plan.

Critical experiences for success

  • Min. 4 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in a multinational environment in a complex matrix structure.
  • Familiar with the strategic Procurement Process practice & Category Management  
  • Change management experience
  • Proven track record in delivery of complex procurement initiatives on time and on budget
  • Able to manage in a matrix environment and to engage with stakeholder on a regional level
  • Management of others 
  • Language Skills: Fluent English; Local Language skills an asset
