About the role

Your Opportunity

To contribute in building of procurement policy and process, sourcing strategies for different categories in order to maximize the quality and value that Bacardi procurement is delivering to our businesses. Ensure efficient  implementation of the category and sourcing strategies in the end markets within the Americas Region in close collaboration with Global Procurement team and Regional business partners.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Contribute to Global category strategies by ensuring regional demand data, customer strategic requirements, regional market insights are captured and conveyed to respective categories
  • Land global sourcing initiatives within Region and lead implementation of regional initiatives.
  • Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies in an efficient and effective way in line with global category strategies and based on company standards and policies.
  • Support regional and local biddings / tenders and supplier negotiations according to company policies.
  • Delivery of the regional procurement KPI’s including savings targets and support delivery of global targets with ongoing contract and supplier management (supplier reviews, KPI’s, adherence to contract, etc.)
  • Ensure regional and local sustainable supply solutions including contingency, responsible sourcing and supplier performance management.
  • Undertake and own regional / local market research and analysis for Contract and SLA management of supply base.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in a multinational environment in a complex matrix structure. / Cross functional experiences are also valued.
  • Familiar with the strategic Procurement Process Practices & Category Management with Change Management experience.
  • Proven track record in delivery of complex procurement initiatives on time and on budget.
  • Able to manage in a matrix environment and to engage with stakeholders on a regional level.
  • You are a people person – procurement is very much about relationships and networking. This is especially true of a matrixed organization.
  • You enjoy KPI’s and metrics and are committed to good processes and procedures – procurement is a highly measured activity, tasked with bringing specific benefits in a timely manner while all deals are generated to be tracked.
  • You are an unconventional thinker and a negotiator by nature – you find answers to deadlocked negotiations by stepping outside the box. You not only like to negotiate, but it comes naturally; in procurement this is inherent.
  • Tactical but curious – you will find new ways to save money, gain benefits and continually investigate how you spend money with understanding of what the market is doing, while generating and following a winning strategy.
Language Skills:
  • Fluent English & Spanish
  • Portuguese would be an asset
