Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the requirements established by regulatory agencies through tests, analysis, evaluation of results and audits in the company.
- Identify changes in laws and regulations that affect the processes and procedures established by the company and communicate them to the corresponding personnel.
- Develops policies, procedures, programs, and controls out on products and raw materials, by Bacardi employees or third parties, to help spread a broad culture of quality (flowcharts, diagrams, technical manuals, point-to-point lessons point, specifications, etc.), designed to eliminate company losses and reduce impacts, meet SQS requirements.
- Support functional areas in the region areas such as sales, marketing, logistics, taxes, finance, suppliers, distribution warehouses, to actively contribute to a SQS vision in all processes involved.
- Plan, coordinate, assist and/or carry out internal, external, cross and supplier audits, complying with all aspects related to the Audit Program of the Management system and established procedures.
- Document, verify and follow-up in the Corrective and Preventive Action System (CAPA) database the findings of inspections/audits carried out.
- Eventually, carry out on-site audits in production units, DCs, and offices, either own or third parties
- Collaborate with the technical development of new products and actual for making improvements if is necessary.
- Ensure that the permits for the operation of the company are up to date and manage any modification or renewal as required.
- Identify best practices to improve SQS systems and programs.
- Inspect working conditions including machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with the regulations of Safety, Quality and Sustainability (SQS) programs, at the local and federal level in the plants of the region.
- Performs and reports trend analysis, performance indicators, and inspections of the area if is necessary, Bacardi plants, outsourced operations (copackers and warehouses) and offices.
- Coordinates priorities and/or unforeseen events of the day, attending production meetings to meet business needs.
- Carry out and/or support investigations of events related to consumer and customer complaints, accidents, safety incidents, occupational health, and the environment, following the procedures established by the company.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) at the local and global level.
- Generate purchase orders and service contracts for your work area and report any variation in the budget.
- Manage and execute programs according to their area of responsibility in Bacardi plants such as:
- Permits/regulatory safety plans: work permits, RMP, FSP, Sanitary License, PIV
- Fire Prevention
- Management and Prevention of Emergencies
- Industrial Hygiene Programs, motorized industrial equipment, respiratory protection, etc.
- Contractor Management
- Analysis of health, safety, quality, and environmental risks
- Change management
- Document Control System
- Analyzes, evaluates, and reports the analytical data of the samples analyzed.
- Product approval
- Product sensory evaluation program.
- Non-conformities Program
- HACCP program
- Handling of Consumer Complaints
- GMP Program
- Others related with SQS
- Create and implement training plans on topics related to quality, safety and the environment.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree Science
- Environmental/Sustainability
- Administration of permits and/or environmental programs
- Used water treatment processes and emission control.
