About the role

WHAT DOES A SALES AND MARKETING COORDINATOR DO?
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator is the eyes and ears on the ground, always looking for ways footfall and revenue opportunities can be maximised.

Supporting the UK Manager achieve results, the Sales and Marketing Coordinator will execute the marketing strategy delivering a strong social, digital and PR-led plan. They will support the local sales activity to drive B2B at the distillery, and will manage all online communities to protect the reputation.

Responsibilities


WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
  • Execute the marketing plans under the direction of the UK Sales and Marketing Manager, supporting the consumer, groups and events strategies
  • Lead the social media strategy, own the social strategy and drive the social plans forward by initiating tests and having a solid reporting template. Manage the online communities daily by interacting directly with consumers.
  • Lead the email content creation and support the global CRM project by implementing strategies to gather first party data on site
  • Support the PR strategy and comms plan by working with the PR agency on opportunities, and managing all web listings and digital representation of Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery
  • Lead the creation of assets, including digital and print, under the direction of the UK Marketing Manager
  • Drive sales by supporting the management of local accounts, including local hotels and tourism offices
  • Leverage other commercial drivers to build revenue onsite, including the bar, café and retail, and integrate these areas into content plans
  • Be a project manager – execute marketing projects set by the UK Marketing Manager on time and to budget, and supply wash up reports.

Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
  • Very strong organisational skills – consistent approach to logging information and reporting results
  • Excellent creative skills – able to critically analyse creative, select appropriate imagery, and strong copywriting skills
  • Customer service skills – manage online communities and feedback in an appropriate way, escalating to the UK Marketing Manager where appropriate
  • Project management – ability to see a project through from start to finish 
  • Finger on the pulse – up to date with the latest trends to deliver the best digital comms as possible
  • Independent working – self-motivated individual, able to manage your own time and prioritise your workload
