About the role

Responsible to lead demand planning and S&OP processes for Canada. Interacts and communicates with sales, marketing, finance, purchasing, supply planning, manufacturing plants and other departments as appropriate to obtain current and accurate information. Lead brand innovation and new launches. 
The Senior Demand Planner has strong technical capabilities, a solid understanding of the supply chain process and the information flow through the demand and supply planning process.   • Lead demand planning process for Bacardi Canada by developing accurate monthly shipment forecasts
  • Own and conduct monthly S&OP process, involving key stakeholders
  • Monitor demand planning key performance indicators and performance metrics and adjust shipment forecast as needed. 
  • Engage with Commercial, Marketing and customers to continuously update requirements and improve the demand planning process
  • Identify and facilitate resolution with the Marketing and Commercial teams when forecast exceptions and risks to achieving plan occur. If needed, give recommendations on allocations in situations where supply does not cover demand
  • Maintain, analyse and review statistical forecast data in SAP APO for Canada
  • Report forecast performance and continuously improve forecasting techniques and approach. Achieve set KPIs for demand planning 
  • Lead innovation launches for Bacardi Canada. Ensure pipeline is planned accordingly and available in a timely manner to support the launch. Communicate innovation details and timing to internal stakeholders.  
  • Work with external manufacturing to monitor Ready to Drink inventory coverage, balancing capacity, aging inventory and inventory coverage
  • Review aging and slow-moving inventory at 3PL warehouses and work with larger team to suggest solutions to minimize write off or move this inventory
  • Report forecast performance and continuously improve forecasting accuracy, techniques and approach
  • Responsible for various reporting to Global supply chain and internally within Bacardi Canada
  • Gather input from the business users and leadership team to improve system functionality, demand planning business processes and forecast accuracy
  • Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems
  • Ensure any issues are raised in a prompt and timely manner with relevant management

Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years forecasting / demand planning experience in Food, Spirits and Wine or Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytical and statistical models to analyse demand and prepare forecasts in SAP APO or other advanced planning tool
  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field; MBA a plus
  • Proven time management and multiple task management capabilities 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for communication across global and cross-functional teams. Must communicate “up” effectively to the Manager, Director level
