About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead development of the Manufacturing and Spirits strategic plan and ensure translation into annual financial performance and investments targets
- Create contingency plans (‘what if’ and ‘scenario analyses’) manage risks and continued financial heath of the Operations P&L and Cash performance (Working Capital & CAPEX)
- Provide direction and guidance for the long term financial indicators. Influence Operations Leadership Team’s focus on efficiency and productivity
- Provide financial decision support through plant finance teams (e.g. operations decision support, innovation, CAPEX decision support, cost control, etc.) to management
- Provide financial and operational planning, forecasting and analysis/commentary
- Ensure adequacy of controls, strong stewardship and compliance mindset from the top. Ensure internal and external audits are fully supported and manage resources to implement action plans
- Drive best in class processes across the organization to generate scale, standardization and efficiency
- Oversee the preparation of performance management reports, and provide management dashboard, ensuring integrity in interpretation and commentary provided
- Drive and lead finance transformation projects in respect to people, processes and systems.
- Ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) with GBS are met and challenged when necessary. Drive local process improvement to ensure we run a Best-in-Class Shared Service Center
- Bring impactful insight on the Operations P&L and Cash performance and hold teams accountable for delivering against targets
- Oversee the preparation of France consolidated monthly performance against forecast, plan and prior periods
- Analyze and interpret P&L including costs, absorption, material variances, ROI variances to identify business performance drivers and improvement opportunities.
- Challenge CAPEX Operations projects to maximize ROI and prioritize resource allocation
- Hold teams accountable to deliver cost reduction and productivity projects against agreed saving targets
- Drive tight structure cost and efficient organization model culture holding teams accountable via budget and actual performance monitoring
- Hold teams accountable to deliver Cash improvements
- Influence business using benchmarks, trends and financial data
- Keep abreast of accounting standard changes. Review an monitor operations in order to ensure compliance and track issues
- Develop and mentor direct reports, providing leadership and continuous coaching in order to ensure high performance behavior and results
- Provide a professional and objective team with sufficient knowledge, skills and experience
- Ensure implementation of learning and development plans and sustained learning for everyone in your team
- Ensure that your teams have the resources and assets needed to deliver desired results.
- Work with the Finance leadership team and Operations business leadership to build a shared sense of purpose in building strong strategic and financial plans for our brands
- Recognize accomplishments and behaviors in a timely manner
- Ensure all employees have a knowledge of Bacardi history and culture
Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of financial management experience in consumer goods industry covering field and corporate assignments, working in an international environment, including roles in manufacturing finance area.
- Experience in Spirits and/or Beverage industry is an advantage
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in finance & accounting (or related area)
- fluent English (written and verbal)
- French optional, other languages an asset
- Digital skills in modern supply chain organization including automation, planning, networking and synchronization tools build on our foundations of SAP, MS Office and other industry specific technology;
- Proficient in MS Office - PowerPoint, Excel; Outlook, etc.;
- Knowledge of SAP, SAP Power BI, and Cognos modules and capabilities is distinct advantage
- Steering Financial Performance through advanced knowledge and use of target setting, scenario planning, resource allocation, working capital management and business co-piloting techniques
- Strategy Development with solid understanding of business environment and being advanced in driving business change, engagement & alignment and modelling
- Decision Support with strong / advanced ability to identify & frame issues, structure & integrate information, and draw insights & recommendations from analysis
- People / Team Leadership across finance teams and multifunction project teams
- Transactional Efficiency being experienced in process standardization & optimization, business reporting as well as integrated performance management system knowledge & usage
- Accounting – advanced in management and cost accounting
- Control Environment – experienced developing internal policies & controls, and competent in business risk assessment and audit techniques
- Strong influencing and change management skills – someone who encourages others to develop and implement unique, breakthrough ideas; strong commercial acumen; able to influence other functions
- Has a strong bias to action – delivers business results; externally focused
- Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem solving skills – intellectually curious and challenging; creating own controlling mechanisms ensuring quality output; business leader who happens to work in finance
- Comfortable around senior management – maintains rapport in both good and difficult occasions and has good judgement in all circumstances; proven track record of successful delivery of results in matrix organization; highly networked internally & externally; can manage multiple stakeholders well
- Good organization & planning skills with good interpersonal & communication skills; ability to lead & inspire a team or organization; skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results
