About the role

Your Opportunity

This high-profile role offers an exciting career opportunity within the rapidly accelerating Bacardi digital commerce business for Iberia. This role will be instrumental in driving Bacardi’s digital commerce strategy in the short and long term.

You will have full responsibility across the entire portfolio for key digital commerce platforms in the market, with a specific strategic focus on Amazon, but also managing a team to develop new opportunities across current and emerging RTM.

Given the nature of digital commerce, the role will require dynamic thinking and quick action to maximize and monitor both long- and short-term opportunities (Volume, NSV, GP, as well as Market Share and Sales Growth).

About You 

You will work across different functions of the organization to identify and develop digital commerce opportunities, including the Brand teams, Customer Marketing, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain interactions. 

In this role, you will look to improve customer profitability through mix management, brand strategy deployment, onsite merchandising, and promotional effectiveness – and share your learnings with the global digital commerce organization. 

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • As the channel lead for Digital Commerce (DC) in Iberia region, you will be responsible for accelerating the region to the next level in Digital Commerce by driving strong local momentum across all key stakeholders at local level (brands, sales, finance…) and region level (Europe and rest of DC team). 
  • Responsibility for developing the digital commerce commercial strategy for Spain, as well as overseeing Portugal, identifying key partners to drive growth with, and new opportunities through emerging sub-channels (on-demand, marketplace, B2B) 
  • Line management responsibility - the Digital Commerce KAM for Spain will be reporting to this role, with whom you will build an effective execution plan across priority customers 
  • Responsibility for increasing digital capability through the market to ensure increase in digital IQ across all functions in Spain 
  • Create and implement key customer strategies to attain sales revenue targets and achieve company goals for the online businesses
  • Full accountability of the pure play P&L in Spain and Portugal ensuring YoY improvements in revenue and gross profit across all brands.
  • In partnership with the Digital Commerce KAM: 
    • Strategic planning of annual terms negotiations and JBP approach on current and new customers, ensuring a long term sustainable investment and growth model within the Iberia Digital Commerce business
    • Work cross-functionally to ensure plan delivery against established revenue goals whilst supervising and managing trade investment and A&P budgets with the DC KAM.
    • Work in close collaboration with the DC KAM to further develop existing customer relationships through fact-based industry and category insights both at higher category level as well as using retailer specific data 
    • Facilitate the building of strong top-to-top relationships with key customer executives.
    • Create and own a clear reporting and tracking document across all accounts to communicate performance and challenges effectively to senior management and ensure all objectives are exceeded
    • Ensure alignment and integration of digital commerce into the customer marketing teams and be able to influence the development of concept briefs and budgeting through to execution alongside the DC KAM.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • 4+ years of direct selling, managing, planning & marketing experience with pure play retailers.
  • Experience working with Amazon.
  • Ability to determine current and future digital commerce trends, having an emphasis on planning, forecasting, building digital commerce and internal specific programs.
  • Demonstrate exceptional financial and commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Extensive experience in P&L management and developing new accounts.
  • Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English a necessity, Portuguese highly desirable (but not essential)
