About the role

In this role, you will be accountable for delivering the Brand Consumer and Commercial Insights agenda to drive more effective marketing and commercial planning that drive brand equity and ultimately deliver value creation for the company. You will be accountable for defining the research plan and delivering insights to the Leadership Team that will shape decisions relating to areas such as brand strategy, brand planning, activity creation, and customer activation.

You will model and inspire through insight and analytics and act as strategic thought partners to the business to ensure the unbiased perspective of the consumer and purchaser is considered in every business discussion and decision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Customer Analytics team (4) for the Bacardi USA National Retail Sales (NRS) team
• Responsible for providing accurate and consistent business decision support, with insightful analyses via the use of various internal and external data sources (syndicated data, consumer pull, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Analytics, NRGM, Insights, Customer Solutions, etc) to drive more actionable insights into the business.
• Lead quarterly consumer insights meeting with executive leadership, to communicate insights-driven R&O for Bacardi
• Analyse top-line performance by NRS customer, promotional activity analysis including ROI and customer P&L; identifies, evaluates, communicates risks and opportunities
• Responsible for presenting to the customer as well as NRS leadership teams
• Supports as needed the planning and business routines needed to deliver industry-leading responses to Customer Joint Business Plans (JBP), which includes performing the required analytical support
• Assist the NRS Team in managing their financial budgets and continue to drive the M&E mindset in decision making
• Ensures alignment on all aspects of internal commercial elements as it relates to the business units
• Collaborate with Advanced Analytics team to further drive initiative and implement into day-to-day processes
• Assist the NRS Team when developing forecasts for future innovations. To ensure accurate forecasting including tracking progress and authorizations amongst the NRS customers.
• Leads the development of the monthly and quarterly business reviews on the national accounts business, focusing on the analysis of future opportunities and understanding the performance drivers
• Continuously looks to improve and simplify our processes as they relate to the planning, reporting, and performance measurements of our brands and how we use our supporting systems and tools
• Build and foster solid business partnering relationships with internal and external customers

Skills and Experience

• A well organized, high energy, detail-oriented, and persistent professional with the ability to identify/focus on key issues, prioritize efforts, and ensure follow up with timely/quality results
• A demonstrated track record of serving as a business partner to the senior leadership team with the ability to influence key business decisions and track performance against key objectives.
• Highly skilled at presenting data-driven stories clearly and confidently to executive leadership
• Ability to translate complex Analytics data and insights into a clear succinct story for individuals at all levels
• Ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy utilizing strong analytical and organizational skills
• 5+ years experience in the Consumer Package Goods, Spirits, or broader beverage alcohol industry
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint
