About the role

What does a Senior Manager in Distribution and Logistics do?

Leads all warehousing activities, purchasing of material handling equipment, scheduling for transportation, and Primos within the Jacksonville Distribution Center. Also plays a key role by ensuring all safety programs are strictly followed within OSHA and EPA regulations and compliance regulations with the TTB and US Customs are adhered to and enforced.

This role has a large breadth of responsibilities and thus the successful primo must be self-motivated while remaining flexible. You also have a knack to utilizing tools such as statistical analysis to make business decisions and changes. 


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Manage of all distribution, inventory, and logistic services, including Primos, receiving of Finished Goods, Ingredients and Production Materials, VAP assembly and Reverse Logistics. 
  • Responsible for the operational expenses and of capital expenditures for the Warehouse operations while ensuring that both remain within approved budgeted guidelines.
  • Responsible for the Value-Added Package production process 
  • Ensure compliance with the established Bacardi methods and policies for the efficient movement of finished goods.
  • Responsible to perform, sustain, update, and communicate physical inventories activities/results. Sustain inventory management and controls best practices. 
  • Develop and enforce safety procedures within the entire scope of the Distribution Center. 
  • Coordination of Bacardi USA communications regarding distribution and logistics 
  • Liaise with appropriate teams to ensure finished goods and material storage conditions are maximized. 
  • Collaborate with team members to provide input on safety stocks for materials and finished goods to maximize warehouse space and safe working conditions.
  • Pursuit of optimal operations to improve efficiency and maximize primo resources.
  • Detection, communication, and disposition of damaged, aged, defective, and obsolete products
  • Monitor and provide continuous improvement recommendations and strategies.
  • Assure that all BATF and Customs government regulations are followed 

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Logistics 
  • 7 Years of leadership, warehouse management, transportation (both domestic and international), budget management, production management strategies, project management, 
  • Strong communicator in both verbal and written context with an innate ability to grow and sustain strong working relationships with direct and indirect team members. 
  • A proven leader with the ability to build strong teams through a high level of emotional intelligence, coaching and mentoring, talent development, and performance management.
  • Technologically savvy with strong Microsoft Office, RF System, and SAP skills with a high level of comfort in learning new systems
