About the role

Your Opportunity

As a Senior Shopper Marketing Manager, you are accountable for translating brand strategy and retailer and consumer insights into retail programming that reflects how consumers want to shop in a fast-changing landscape and gives our sales team a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:
  • You will be responsible for the full development of channel and region-specific brand programs and tools that are relevant for the retailer and the shopper - from agency brief to concept to execution to program measurement 
  • You will work closely with brand and the insights teams to uncover and apply consumer, shopper, retailer and competitive insights to continuously adapt and improve our retail strategy and tools -  reflecting the changing retail landscape and the new ways consumers shop
  • You will be the expert on shoppers across channels and how their needs and decisions shape category and brand choice across channel segments. You will use this knowledge to convert consideration to purchase.
  • You will represent the shopper and customer point of view in Brand inter-agency meetings and other key brand checkpoints as well as supporting Brand VPs in commercial facing meetings
  • You will identify opportunities for portfolio programs that both satisfy new or growing consumer occasions and give Bacardi a right to win at retail.  You will work with the larger Shopper team in outlining the opportunity, briefing the agency, communicating execution details, and ensuring programs are measured & codified.
  • You will be a leader on the team that builds Omni Channel Retail strategies

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy:
  • 5-7 years’ experience in Customer Marketing, Category Management, Brand or Channel Strategy or a strong background in understanding customer and channel dynamics 
  • Excellent at managing and developing cross-functional relationships both internally and externally: Brand, Sales, Commercial Performance, Operations, Finance, Legal/Regulatory, Global, Agency
  • Highly effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in the Spirits and/or overall beverage Industry is a distinct advantage

  • You have a keen interest in understanding who buys Bacardi spirits– from a customer and shopper standpoint – and a passion to innovate and continuously improve how Bacardi shows up at retail
  • You are interested in what retail will look like in the future – from store of the future to digital integration to emerging channel and category segments
  • You are a self-starter and an accomplished multi-tasker, able to simultaneously manage projects of different sizes with varying deadlines 
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong bias for action, understanding that some of the best learnings and biggest wins come from taking risks
  • You can navigate a complex matrix environment and relish the opportunity to influence both brand and sales teams
