WHAT DOES A BRAND MANAGER DO?

Brand Managers at Bacardi work in tight collaboration with their Country/ Region Leadership Teams and play a critical role in taking our great portfolio of brands to the next level. They do this by crafting brilliant strategies based on astute consumer insights and crisp execution at commercial level.

You are a Marketing Leader who places consumer insights at the heart of your work. You develop innovative brand campaigns that push the boundaries, deliver commercial growth and nurture long term brand equity.

You have the capacity to build belief, across a whole country - by engaging directly with consumers and meeting them in their moments that matter.

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
  • Own the market Whisky category input, contributing to defining “Jobs to be Done” each year as part of the annual Integrated Activity Planning (IAP) process
  • Extend the region IAP into a robust market brand plan, collaborating with your local Customer Marketing team to deliver maximum impact in-market and deliver annual Brand financial (revenue, profitability, share, equity) and commercial targets
  • Manage A&P budget for Whisky as assigned to by the Region Category Director
  • Lead the in-market delivery of all consumer-facing Brand activities and partner with Customer Marketing on all trade-facing activities, as defined in the IAP, ensuring executional excellence
  • Lead localization of brand communications plan, including local planning & buying of media with agency partner
  • Collaborate with Insights to ensure we measure and evaluate the performance of all Brand activities in your market to optimise A&P spend
  • Ensure that all brand assets developed in the market adhere to Global Brand guidelines and local social responsibility policies and regulations and always follow the Bacardi Marketing Way best practice

Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
  • Brand management experience in progressive roles, leading different Marketing projects
  • Experience in multiple specialty areas: digital, innovation, promotions, events, media, etc.
  • Brand management experience preferably with a premium / FMCG / Luxury background. Drinks and Lifestyle Category experience is an advantage
  • Great commercial acumen and the ability to translate great brand strategies into a tangible commercial advantage with a strong understanding of promotional activity and through-the-line activation
