About the role

Your Opportunity

This is your opportunity to make a difference in our internal and external customer experiences. You will own the Supply Chain process and strategy end to end for the Caribbean region and will be responsible for the warehouse in Dominican Republic and to maintain optimum inventory levels in the export markets, and to work closely with Supply Chain manager in Central America to define the strategy for the Panama consolidation platform. You will operate as a key business & strategic Supply Chain partner to the Caribbean region and to the rest of the Supply Chain team in Latin America.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Supply chain strategy: In line with LAC Supply Chain Strategy, develop and execute a comprehensive product supply strategic plan which will support growth and drive optimal customer engagement and satisfaction together with business profitability.
  • Leadership Team: Be an active part Caribbean region leadership team, ensuring strong supply chain representation and collaboration. Owning your role as an active and vocal member of both LAC Supply Chain and cluster Leadership Team delivering proactive insights, ideas, solutions, and challenges that amplify the growth and performance of the cluster. 
  • Team Player: You managed the warehouse in Dominican Republic and work closely with Supply Chain Manager in Centro America and the planner of the Panama consolidation centre to ensure optimum levels of inventory to serve the islands..
  • Customer focus: Collaborate with customers to improve performance and customer service levels. Establish policies, procedures, performance metrics, and resource requirements to ensure reliability, speed, convenience, and best perceived value to the customer.  Collaborate with customers allowing joined planning and proactive / efficient problem solving, efficient order management process.
  • S&OP: Own the Sales and Operations Planning agenda and the processes critical to deliver improved forecast accuracy, optimize inventory and logistics costs. Identify and execute the optimum balance between customer requirements, inventory optimisation, manufacturing efficiencies (including capacity planning, SKU rationalization, replenishment planning) to deliver best-in-class product availability on shelf. 
  • Distribution: Optimize the distribution network from plant to customer to improve the service level (reduced lead time, consumer complaint…) and reduce the cost. Ensure efficient use of transportation resources while meeting the needs of the customer.  Key contact to control and monitor the activities of 3PL (Logistics/warehouse provider): conduct performance reviews and mitigate risks.  
  • Projects and Continuous improvement: Champion cluster wide project implementation: innovation launches, compliance change, network optimization, etc. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to challenge and improve our processes with the aim of reducing supply chain complexity, increase supply reliability and agility.  Develop, implement, and influence best practices in the disciplines of forecasting, inventory management, logistics and customer service.  
  • Quality and Compliance: Responsible for adherence to SOX. Respect the regulations associated with the Supply Chain activities (customs duty, excise, VAT, Strip Stamps, importations, exportations…).  Control all potential regulatory changes concerning labelling and implement changes, if necessary, in line with the guidance of TRN (Technical Regulatory Network).
  • Performance monitoring: accountable to develop a robust plan for the cluster driven by the following KPI’s:
    • Forecast accuracy TISP M-2 / Bias
    • Service: OTIF, zero OOS
    • Cost: deliver against budget and monitor cost per case, 
    • Inventory Levels
    • Write off and Slow movers
  • People: Responsible for the team development. (Between 3-4 team members). Ensure every team member has a clear and meaningful development plan in place and actively monitor and advance succession plans. Support your team by establishing a process for aligning day-to-day decisions to the strategic plan. Foster an environment that advances Primos through effective coaching, professional development, and succession planning.

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • You will have 6+ years’ experience in Supply Chain and Operation Management.   Your familiarity and knowledge across customer service, demand planning and logistics will be recognized. Preferable in the  Caribbean region. In your career you will have had on the ground experience and time in front-line supply chain / logistics roles
  • Language skills: Fluent English & Spanish
  • Preferable SAP or any similar ERP knowledge.
  • Experience in successful leadership of a team, with the ability to inspire and develop high performance. Leadership of both direct teams and matrix / cross functional leadership – managing / directing others. 
  • Global volume consumer goods & drinks experience highly desirable, but you may well have additional experience in other industries. 
  • You will have a track record of managing third parties and driving continuous improvement in their performance – service, quality, and cost. 
  • You will have experience in international logistics and knowledge on international trading practices and acquaintance with order management for direct sales and consolidation platforms and warehouse management.
  • You will have driven and managed change in a distribution or industrial supply chain organization where knowledge of international trading practices and global tax principles is vital to success.
