About the role


Sustainability Manager will lead and drive the implementation of policies and procedures that guarantee compliance with all current local and federal regulations in the field of Health, Safety and Environment. Establish links with relevant government agencies (e.g. EPA, OSHA, DRNA, DOT, USGC, etc.), as part of safety and environmental management. Maintain ISO14001 certification and serve as lead auditor and Emergency Coordinator. Develop and implement strategies to achieve Sustainability goals that support the Global Good Spirited program and ensure continuous improvement in the following aspects: efficient use of resources, mainly water, reduction of GHG emissions and waste, responsible sourcing, elimination of plastic and biodiversity.  


  • Evaluate the potential risks related to the environment and following the processes and procedures established by local and federal regulatory agencies, in addition to the company's global standards.
  • Develop, implement programs and procedures to comply with applicable regulations related to Environmental and Sustainability standards.
  • Maintain contingency plans, including procedures to control hazardous spills and other emergency scenarios identified in accordance with government regulations and insurance companies.
  • Direct the efforts that support the environmental sustainability of the processes, as well as maintain the Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
  • Measure the effectiveness of activities related to the environment and control through inspections and audits.
  • Oversee EHS training programs.
  • Lead the different programs and activities of the company involving the presence of associates such as: "Crisis Management Team", ISO, among others.
  • Comply with and ensure compliance with the standards and procedures of Environmental, Health, Safety, Management and Policies established by the company.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the work plan and strategies for the area under his charge, ensuring that it meets the company's objectives and promotes the continuous development of the department.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the departmental budget, in conjunction with the department's staff, ensuring that it is in tune with the company's objectives.
  • Ensure high-quality performance and professional development of your work team, sharing the mission, vision and objectives of the department, offering and receiving feedback, serving as a guide ("coaching") and performance management.
  • Prepare monthly and annual statistical, financial and operational reports and present them in the corresponding forums.
  • Look for new opportunities to improve processes and new sources of business.

Skills and Experience

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Environmental or Chemical.
  • Master’s degree in Science or Engineering in the field of Environmental, Health, Safety, Hygiene and Loss Control.
  • 4 years or more experience in Administration of Environmental compliance and/or sustainability programs.
  • PR Professional Engineer License.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Spanish.
  • Familiarity in electronic systems (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Effective use of the Internet and email.
  • Knowledge of local and federal regulatory laws tied to the environment, health and safety.
  • Ability to write reports.
