About the role

What does a NAM Compliance Manager do?

As our North America Compliance Manager, you will primarily be responsible for providing compliance, operational guidance, training, and support to Bacardi US  locations on TTB and Excise matters.  You will work to monitor our SOP's in our plant to ensure alignment of TTB regulations and are executed in accordinace to guidelinse.  This role will erport to the Sr. Manager of Customs & Excise Tax of and will work closely with our Plant Director based in our Jacksonville, FL offices.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Manage Substitution Drawback Claims process for Bacardi 
  • Ensures all plant processes/operations are aligned with TTB regulations
  • Preparation and submission of Monthly TTB Reports at Federal and State level
  • TTB Bonds coverage requirements and renewals for NAM entities and PR
  • Oversee excise taxes account reconciliations for US and PR entities
  • Bi- Monthly Federal Excise Tax Returns for BBC
  • MNBP Drawback claims - BBC
  • Oversee reconciliation of variances of inventory, as well as closing of processing and production orders  and cutoff procedures
  • Manage Certificate of Origin requests process – compliance with FTA’s
  • Oversee new IPC MD setup and product formulations changes (FET and reporting impact) 
  • Support management of Rums of Puerto Rico Agreement 

Skills and Experience

The Skills &  Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Bachelro's Degree or Relevant years of experience supporting customs/excise tax teams, global experience preferred (3-5 years)
  • Ability to interpret and administer accounting principles as they relate to TTB/excise laws and regulations, spirits industry strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with various levels of management
  • Self-motivated and directed, capable of operating autonomously
  • Attention to detail while maintaining a view of the big picture
  • Must be willing to be based in Jacksonville, FL (hybrid schedule)
