We would love to take the Bacardi Executive Search Team (BEST) to the next level. To do this we need to constantly push boundaries and find new and innovative ways to find and attract the very best talent in the market, those who are not only technically strong but also feel strongly engaged in the values, culture and aspirations of Bacardi. That’s where you come in!

The role of Talent Acquisition Lead based in Shanghai is a newly created one. It is a senior role with three main elements to it; 
  1. Research: To proactively search, map gather intelligence and build pipelines of high caliber talent.
  2. Acquisition: Work closely with senior business leaders, Talent Development and HR partners to determine current and future needs of the business; actively deploying resourcing strategies to engage, assess and acquire the very best talent externally without the use of agencies, ensuring succession is in place and talent gaps identified and filled.  You will manage multiple projects at any one time. 
  3. Employer Branding: Drive our engagement and branding strategy across China

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Support China and Japan, ensuring all recruitment efforts are aligned with the needs of the organisation.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, across multiple functions, to ensure on-going and future organisational talent demands are met, whilst considering the internal and external employment brand and overall recruitment experience.
  • Solve talent challenges by finding creative and innovative ways to attract and select potential candidates (e.g. employee referrals, networks, sources).
  • Conduct research for specific search assignments, for example; high level name generation, organisation chart creation, target lists etc.
  • Map, reference and build pipelines of exceptional talent with global mindsets.
  • Approach potential Primos and gather intelligence.
  • Lead Director level searches & campaigns from inception, research stage to On Boarding.
  • Constantly seek to find hidden talent. Create lists of potential target companies and keep ahead of the game with regards to trends in the marketplace.
  • Present high-quality shortlist candidates to hiring managers and provide consultative narrative to back up reasoning. 
  • Go the extra mile to ensure candidates experience is exceptional.
  • Keep abreast of new initiatives e.g. the use of social media, job boards, social media channels, internet sourcing and other means to source candidates for open roles 
  • Represent Bacardi at recruitment, industry and networking functions.

  • The Skills/ Experience are we looking for? 
  • The ability to speak Chinese would be a huge advantage
  • Experience working as a Senior Associate/ Senior Researcher in a leading Search firm combined or in-house experience in a progressive Talent Acquisition function handling senior mandates from start to finish is highly desirable.
  • Proven success leading recruitment searches and meeting/exceeding client and candidate expectations. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Positive and helpful - willing to roll sleeves up and take on administrative tasks as well as consultative work. 
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Proactive, determined to succeed, desire to be the very best.
