About the role

What does a  Tax Center of Excellence Supervisor do?

A Tax CoE Supervisor is responsible for  the tax compliance & reporting of our China legal entities, as well as any other market to be supported, such as Japan. He (or she) works in tight collaboration with the Bacardi Enterprise Services team, the local Finance team and other internal stakeholders to ensure our tax reporting information is filed timely and accurately. 

About You

You are a Tax Leader who places tax compliance at the heart of your work by preparing and managing our tax reports and filings to ensure our Company adheres to the tax legislation and regulations.
You partner and work with Founders Mentality with other functions to ensure the information is timely and correctly reflected in our tax fillings and obligations. You proactively look for process improvement opportunities and best practices implementation because you know that drives long term efficiencies. You interact with Tax Authorities to ensure our tax reports and obligations are correctly submitted.

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Preparation, filing, managing, and archiving of our tax reports and obligations, including the VAT returns, CIT returns, Stamp Duty return, Consumption tax return, and all other statutory reports and filings.  This includes the reconciliation of our SAP information, the government system information, and our tax return information.
  • Point of contact with the Tax Authorities with regards to tax compliance matters.
  • Manage the relationship with the local tax advisors for the preparation, review, and filings of tax returns (as applicable)
  • Process improvement implementation in relation to processes that have a tax impact. Partner with the different functions to implement improvements, workflows, and controls. SOX control owner for tax control processes. 
  • Day to day interaction on tax matters with other functions such as BES, local finance and particularly with the other Global Tax areas such as the Tax CoEs in Costa Rica and Netherlands, Tax Reporting, Tax Advisory and Transfer Pricing. 

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Tax. 
  • Experience in a Big 4 /Multinational on tax compliance with direct and indirect tax reports and obligations.
  • Experience in Tax compliance for at least 6-7 years, including interacting with the Authorities and understanding the Tax Authorities systems and reports. 
  • Digitally savvy with experience with SAP Financial System and pulling of data-reports from SAP. 
  • Proficiency in English is a must. Japanese language is a nice to have.
  • Experience with working in a Shared Service Center environment and day to day interaction with operational functions.
