About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure team members are adhering to Safety standards
- Coordinate line activity including housekeeping, trash removal, changeover and autonomous maintenance activities in accordance with established standards
- Operate bottling line machines/equipment in a correct, safe and efficient manner demonstrating an excellent working knowledge of company safety policies and procedures and practice same with regard to self, co-workers and equipment.
- Participate in SMED activities to improve overall changeover process and line performance.
- Maintain communication with shift supervisor and maintenance personnel when recurring malfunctions related to the equipment and processes.
- Ensure team members maintain clean work areas in conjunction with the 5S initiative and line audits.
- Inspect product and packaging materials throughout the various stages for quality to ensure product is bottled and packaged according to quality standards and specifications as required.
- Actively participates and is engaged in safety initiatives, problem solving, Lean, Self-Directed Teams, continuous improvement and line efficiencies.
Skills and Experience
- Fully trained, knowledgeable, and competent with all machine centers & associated tasks including the use of Infinity (QA checks), EIT (Efficiency Improvement Tool), Production related documentation, Flavor changes, etc.
- Knowledgeable in all electronic reporting platforms including Infinity, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office
- Able to perform maintenance activities independently on all machine centers
- Understanding of high speed manufacturing concepts including conveyances, timing (v-curve) and material loss
- Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills
- Must be self-motivated, proactive, and solution-driven
- Must possess strong problem solving & trouble-shooting skills, and demonstrate use of Lean tools and techniques
- Ability to successfully and constructively lead a team
