About the role

Your Opportunity

Trade Ambassadors at Bacardi work in tight collaboration with their Regional Commercial and Brand teams. They play a critical role in taking our great portfolio of brands to the next level by building brand awareness through advocacy sessions in their respective regions.

About You 

As Trade Ambassador, you will be the visible image and face of your brand through consumer, trade partners and digital channels. Working in collaboration with the brand marketing and sales team, you will play a critical role in spreading the brand message and developing long lasting relationships with consumers, on-trade personnel, and distributor partners. With a solid understanding of bar business operations, you will have credibility in your region and coach on ways of winning. You should be extremely passionate about Bacardi brands and instilling the same passion to on-premise mixologists through various advocacy sessions.


With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

International Strategy
  • In coordination and cooperation with the Area Manager, to successfully communicate and implement Bacardi International brand strategy to the consumers and to the trade.
  • In coordination and cooperation with the Area sales Manager & the marketing team, to work with the trade to develop new ways (local ways) to drink Bacardi brands in addition to the international drink recipes.
  • Drive marquee programs like Bacardi Legacy competition
On Premise
  • To work closely with the on-premise team and maximize the visibility of Bacardi brands on premise.
  • Develop loyalty with the trade, so they list and push Bacardi brands.
  • Drive bar training in relevant outlets to promote Bacardi brands and educate the on premise on creating the perfect serve.
  • Identify and ‘mentor’ bartenders to become ‘brand champions’ for Bacardi brands, so that they promote the brand to both consumers and to other bartenders.
  • Gain and build a reputation as the ‘Ambassador for Bacardi brands,’ by the on trade.
  • Execute consumer training program in the respective city following global guidelines
  • Represent the brand in front of consumers while educating them on the brands and simple mixes
  • Devise promotion plans with the Brand Manager that is consistent with the annual budget plan that is agreed with the
  • Area Manager.
  • Organize / attend / evaluate Bacardi brands on premise promotions on a regular basis.
  • To train, manage, monitor and control the promoters
Territory and Competitors Analysis
  • Constantly report the overall progress of the Advocacy program to the Area Manager.
  • Report brand promotional activities (plus competitors) to the Area Manager.
  • Constantly monitor and assess the competitors, and the competitor’s brands in the territory and report back key findings to the Area Manager

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Proficient in both English & Market language
  • Strong spirits knowledge and passionate about mixology with at least 3 years’ experience as a mixologist, bartender and/or bar consultant
  • Excellent communicator to deliver top-end performance in front of crowds
  • Able to comfortably communicate to press and journalists
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of people of various cultures and level of expertise
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, confident but not arrogant
Personal Qualities 
  • Globally minded and able to demonstrate cross-cultural understanding and sensitivity.
  • Great communication skills and gravitas with the ability to present credibly to local and global stakeholders.
  • Good at Multitasking & Socially engaging. We want someone who will love this job and make that clear for everyone they work with!
  • Someone who can create a strong positive first impression and easily form great relationships with new customers, consumers and stakeholders.
  • Someone who can study the competitive market in the region and use available insights to develop initiatives to grow the category.
  • Should be willing to travel through different markets in east.
