About the role

YOUR CHALLENGE

You will play a crucial role in the Trade Marketing team, working with Brand Manager(s) & external agencies to develop game changing purchaser marketing programs to ensure we win across the on & the off trade.  
As part of this process, you will be expected to input to the Region on local needs for the Below The Line (BTL) activation playbooks they will develop, to lead agency briefings both to deliver best in class local IAP activations.  
In this job, you work closely together with the Marketing department, field colleagues and with the Key Account Managers. You report to the Head of Trade Marketing Off-trade.

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
You have full ownership of the deployment and performance of your respective brand portfolio for the Off-Trade channel and On-trade channel. On average, your time investment will be split into 80% off-trade focus and 20% on-trade focus.  
Your key responsibilities are divided into 2 major pillars: 

  • Planning & Activation Focus: 
    • Delivering world-class Integrated Activity Plans (IAP) and executing those plans for your respective brand on time & in full (OTIF) for both the on & off trade channels. 
    • Ensuring “bigger bolder better” Below The Line programs to ensure synergetic 360° programs 
    • Perfect budget management & follow-up of A&P 
    • Optimal resource allocation to best fit the strategy & brand needs at channel and customer level.  
    • Responsible for closely monitoring our business performance across brands and customers with the intent to course correct where needed for optimal results. 
    • Continuous measurement & evaluation of all activations (incl. corrective actions if relevant) 
    • Setting up the high level strategy down to the lowest detail of the execution (eg. Ordering wobblers) 
    • Setting up tailor made activations for your brand at key customers/channel,  
  • Commercial Focus: 
    • Translation of shopper insights into compelling trade story  
    • Marketing Single-Point-Of-Contact for Delhaize 
    • Generate brand plan excitement for our internal and external stakeholders – from our field to our biggest clients 
    • Monthly field visit and continuous attention to field dynamics to ensure being close to the market 
    • This role is based in the Netherlands, however, you are required to travel at least once a week to the other country (Belgium). 


Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
  • You have a Master degree or equivalent through experience. 
  • 2-4 years relevant experience (customer marketing, brand management, sales or agency side) 
  • You work in an organized manner and you are excellent at prioritization and planning. 
  • You are able to work under pressure and to deal with ambiguity.  
  • Experienced in understanding customers business to drive growth
PERSONAL QUALITIES
  • You are pragmatic and hands-on. 
  • You are a great stakeholder manager and have good communication skills  
  • You have a critical mind and are creative in looking for solutions/improvements. 
  • Proficiency in English, fluent in Dutch or French (ideally both)
