About the role

WHAT DOES A PLANNING & LOGISTICS DIRECTOR DO?

This position leads the UK Supply Chain team (brand Management, Production Planning from Liquid and material planning to bottling planning, Material Supply and Inventory Management, Logistics and Warehousing, External Manufacturing Planning) with the aim meet a high customer service performance through monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs, such as DIOH, OFR, OTIF, Working Capital, TIPP/TOPP, etc.) and supporting the supply and delivery of required industrial materials for Finished Goods manufacturing. 

The role ensures a strong link of the business with the Upstream Supply Chain, driving the long term, volume forecasting aspects of our S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and S&OE processes, ensuring stock availability to deliver business needs in the short term, and executing SC elements of our process to bring innovation into the marketplace as effectively as possible. Responsibilities include budget and cost control, order management, SAP use, delivery schedule, master data, stock life cycle and portfolio management, inventory optimization and planning. A key part of this role is acting as a strong partner with commercial and brand teams, ensuring open communication and alignment in order to achieve business growth.

Responsibilities

WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
  • Ensure a strong connection with the brand marketing team and the markets’ representatives.
  • Champion the S&OP process for UK Supply and the Brand Business Reviews, including portfolio management.
  • Act strongly to optimize long term stock projections, support overall distribution efficiency gains and optimise cashflow.
  • Accountable for the Long-Term Demand Plan for all OC brands, Standard Costing and Budget process.
  • Support the innovation process to deliver new product launches.
  • Ensure a strong connection with the UK manufacturing team, the External Manufacturers and the UK Supply leadership Team
  • Responsible for Internal and External Manufacturing Planning, driving team to optimize inventory and determine production requirements.
  • Consolidate, drive and communicate the production planning based on the Green Flow Manufacturing.
  • Monitor Bulk needs and assist in determining order quantities for Bulk and ingredients Processing.
  • Ensure all materials are available with an acceptable delivery date to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain good communication with suppliers and other departments regarding industrial materials purchases, costs, quality and any new developments.
  • Track, monitor and communicate KPIs: Order Fill Rate (OFR), Schedule Attainment, Schedule Mix Attainment, Block Planning Attainment, Availability, Capacity check, forecast accuracy, stock levels (DIOH) etc.
  • Ensure strong action plans in place to drive improvements in alignment with the BOS.
  • Lead, develop, and coach team, ensuring high primo engagement and developing a talent pipeline of future leaders

Skills and Experience

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and oral), Networking and interpersonal relationship building.
  • Problem solving, critical thinking, detail oriented. Multi-tasking and Project Management.
  • Systems and Process oriented, Knowledge of SAP.
  • Supply Chain knowledge (Production and Material Planning, Demand and Forecasting, Customer Service Focus)
  • Fearless attitude - Able to navigate short term actions into strategies. Ability to think quickly, creatively and challenge team to do the same.
  • Situational adaptability; Able to thrive under fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
  • University Degree
  • Strong experience in Supply Chain
  • 2-3 years of previous leadership experience
OTHER
  • Some travel is required (<10%)
