About the role

Your Opportunity

You will drive our „win in Key Cities“ strategy in Berlin and Hamburg, unlocking success through
flawless execution of all activations across our portfolio. You will play a crucial role in increasing the footprint of Bacardi in the top relevant on-trade of the Capitol Berlin and our Bacardi Hometown Hamburg by developing game changing customer & marketing programs tailored to local needs.

You will work closely together with sales, customer marketing, advocacy and partner agencies to create unique customer propositions and activations with the consumer at the heart and raise the awareness of and the desire towards our Brands.

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be:

In this role you will be responsible to build Bacardi as the No. 1 spirits partner for the relevant on-trade universe (Influencer & Volume) in Berlin & Hamburg as well as enhancing the reception of Bacardi Brands as iconic and desirable. This will be achieved through the creation and delivery of excellent executions of the “Winning in the City” concept primarily in the on trade channel.

The overall 360° expectation towards this role is to drive the most profitable and influential partner accounts as well as to build mid-term plans to win the most important accounts within the local market. This will be achieved by locally tailored Brand- & Outlet focused activations and executions.

As part of this process, you will be expected to feed into and support the development of local tools as well as leading customer specific briefs for local activation needs. This will require the writing of agency briefs both creative and production and ongoing agency relationship management. You will be responsible to lead the execution of tailormade solutions for POSM & brand visibility, special event – occasionally in cooperation with local promoter and organizer, brand-focused activations, drink experience-based concepts and Influencer incorporations.

You will be the go-to-person for the local commercial teams for all aspects relating to execution of the “Winning in” program and will be the key partner to give us a leading edge over competition through customer and consumer-centric concepts.

You will be connecting the internal brand customer marketing team with the relevant market proposition to ensure a holistic approach and the adequate adaption of global brand strategies to locally fitting needs. You will work with the local stakeholders to advise on course corrective actions if required.

The nature of the role will mean presence on our Hamburg headquarter as well as time spend within the local markets. To ensure a strong commercial connection and a solid external understanding this role will require solid foreknowledge within the Berlin market as well as stakeholder management within the company.
  • Responsible for (co-)development and execution of the local “Winning in” concept
  • Consult key local stakeholders on “Winning in” plans & activities
  • Cooperates closely with sales, marketing and advocacy to ensure and coordinate resources to maximize impact on relevant on trade of Berlin and Hamburg
  • Localizes BTL activation toolkits incl. management and selection of local POS
  • Maintains channel activity grids and local activity comms
  • BTL agency management and briefing responsibility
  • Key member of local planning team. Connecting the dots
  • Holds budget responsibility and manages local market A&P, P&L for “Winning in” program
  • Embeds and enhances long-term relationships with key strategic players
  • Builds the connection in between other “Winning in” cities within the region. Share & steal
  • Sets up a regular reporting
  • Monitors market trends and keeps track of local competitor activities to feedback into the organization

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience of at least two of the following fields (sales, brand management, customer marketing, agency side, event management)
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • Experience in managing stakeholders. Actively builds and leads interaction between the functions and connects the dots effectively
  • Self-starter, experienced in balancing long- and short-term priorities, comfortable in multi-skilling and operating at pace
  • Comprehension of competitive market in Berlin and Hamburg
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • A passion for the drinks industry
  • A flair for presenting ideas and develop those proactively into plans with the ability to flex style to their audience
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deal with ambiguity
  • Remains abreast of legal regulations in the industry
