About the role

What does a Wellness Coordinator do?

Primo (employee) engagement and wellbeing are our top priority in the Bacardi UK Operations Centre (UKOC) – we are excited to launch a new Wellness Coordinator role, which will partner with the HR team and benefits/ occupational health providers to help us meet our objective of becoming one of the top employers in the UK for primo wellbeing. 

The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for designing, coordinating and facilitating wellbeing activities for the UKOC. They will further develop existing wellness strategy & programmes by increasing primo engagement and participation. They will seek opportunities to increase the value these programmes provide to both Primos and the business. The Wellness Coordinator will also be responsible for driving new initiatives, using market research and primo engagement survey data to conduct root cause analysis and make recommendations to the business on new initiatives to launch. 

The Wellness Coordinator will act as a champion for wellbeing culture in the UKOC, seeking sustainable improvements to ways of working. They will support the integration of wellbeing through leadership development, ensuring our leaders continue to view wellness as an effective tool to increase primo engagement, drive high-performing teams, and achieve business results. 

About You 

You will have a strong passion for wellness and primo engagement. You will have experience in an administrative role with a proven record of coordinating people initiatives. You will be well-organised and be able to prioritise varying priorities. You have fantastic communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with Primos at all levels of the organisation. You will have a proactive and analytical approach to problem solving, always looking to execute to a high level.

  • This role will be a blend of onsite and remote work
  • The role will also act as a cover for our reception desk
  • The role is a 6 month fixed term contract role, with the opportunity for extension. 

Responsibilities

With our Consumer at the heart, your key focus will be to:
  • Design, coordinate and facilitate wellbeing activities for the UKOC including mental health, physical wellbeing, financial wellbeing, stress management, covid, and shift working. 
  • Drive primo awareness, participation, and engagement in wellbeing programmes.
  • Work closely with the wider HR team and other key stakeholders to understand the wellbeing needs of the workforce. Establish key issues, trends and areas for development, producing targeted action plans which are then reviewed to assess impact. 
  • Coordinate absence reduction & retention initiatives:
    • Report on absence and turnover metrics 
    • Work with the wider HR team (and key partners such as Occupational Health) to reduce sickness absence by understanding the key issues and reasons for absence, spotting trends and putting in place health and wellbeing strategies to support managers and employees.
    • Partner with HRBPs and leaders on policy creation or changes to ways of working.
  • Lead Mental Health First Aider Programme, including:
    • Leading monthly meetings, facilitating best practice sharing across Mental Health First Aiders
    • Coordinating certification sessions
    • Promote  ‘Mental Health Aware’ initiative for managers. Ensure managers are trained in talking to their teams about mental health and able to embed this mindset into their team’s culture. 
    • Partner with MHFAs to drive mental health communications across the UKOC
  • Partner with subject matter experts (such as our benefits and occupational health providers) to drive educational sessions, internal communications, and events focused on a variety of wellbeing topics 
  • Coordinate Workplace Health Surveillance; partnering with occupational health and EHS to ensure compliance
  • Lead ‘New Better’ post-pandemic initiatives, focusing on work-life balance for blended remote working or high-volume roles. 
  • Increase primo awareness for resources and wellness benefits such as Bacardi Assist (EAP)
  • Act as reception backup/cover
  • Additional administrative responsibilities as needed

Skills and Experience

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy
  • Experience in HR or related administrative role
  • Bachelors Degree in HR or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • The following experiences are preferred:
  • Mental Health First Aider
  • Experience driving primo wellbeing programmes
  • Experience working in an operational environment
